Great resort with very helpful staff. Considerable more expensive but really worth it if you like luxury and highly privatized attention.

I am from the United States and have stayed here several times. Staff is attentive, professional. A great place to relax.

Location is spectacular and the service was extremely nice.

The property is beautiful and the food is great. However, we found a BAT in our bathroom and the staff did not seem concerned and their response was very underwhelming (pretty much none)

Very beautiful ocean front property

Cumbuco is a wonderful hotel with great facilities. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They went out of there way to speak English with us which was very kind. Food excellent, pool really nice. Great service

Excelente hotel e funcionários muito cordiais e bem treinados. Acho que o check in foi meio bagunçado e nenhum benefício Expedia me foi oferecido. Pontos para melhora: ameneties nos quartos precisam de um upgrade, alguns locais (jacuzzi por exemplo) necessitam de algum grau de reforma, brinquedoteca estava MUITO suja.

Beautiful hotel and the area. The mattress was not so good. I was checked in a smaller room than what I booked at first. After that I was checked in in a room that I booked. But all stuff was very nice and the spa was amazing

It’s a nice place for fun with family and friends. Not good for people with limited mobility at all. Pool area is fun! Restaurant is good and also a good breakfast. The bedrooms need some repair and upgrades, especially the bathrooms. The staff is very nice! I would say it’s a 3 stars hotel.

The place is good, food and staff outstanding our expectations!

Pros: very exclusive resort, quiet and calm, perfect for families, amazing amenities pool/bar/ restaurant, safe location, beachfront security and well staffed. Very clean and well maintained, guests are treated very well. Also gated front entrance, security guard on the parking lot. Views from the room are stunning. Bracelet for door access and room charges are super convenient. There is a Kiteinstructor on site, Ricardo, very personable and easy to talk to. He has the best English of the whole staff which understandably speak beautiful Portuguese. The kite gear locker is well located by the beach (I wish it didn’t have stairs though) and the air compressor was amazing! Cons: big room and relatively small bathrooms but that wasn’t a problem for us; towels by the pool are hard to find (they only exchange towel per towel or towel card... wish they were better distributed by the fresh water showers outside by the beach and poolsides); there is a horrible loud DJ every Saturday that was so unnecessary and unwelcome by us- it changed the calm zen feeling we had all week; lastly water bottles are only 300ml sizes (restaurant, bar, and mini room fridge)12 hrs of hot intense sun absolutely calls for LITER water bottles everywhere!! We went to a very close Shell gas station and got 1.5L bottles and also some cash (1 of the 2 ATMs in Cumbuco). Overall a wonderful stay and we’ll be back for sure!
