Lovely Parisian hotel in a great lively area

shower was super small, you could hear the person talking in the next room and lady mentioned the breakfast was complementary until I saw the bill and always bring a WASHCLOTH. The one redeeming quality it's only a 15-20 min ride from Paris.

My return flight was at CDG and I wanted to be in town the night before. This property met my basic need for a bed and a shower. The location is a good walk to the Metro and a refresh for everything is probably will improve the overall experience. If you want to save a few dollars and don’t mind the wall and older property then you can put this one on your list.

From the moment we arrived we knew the Hotel Verlaine was an ideal place for our visit to Paris. Elodie gave our party of 6 a great welcome and offered lots of information and suggestions during our stay. The rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Our room was facing the street with a pleasant view and we did not find any problem with noise. The breakfast selection was more than adequate and plentiful, with Elodie very attentive in making sure everyone had enough tea or coffee. The hotel was only a 5 minute stroll from Place d'italia metro which has great connections to all of the city. We would all certainly recommend Hotel Verlaine as a base for a Paris visit. Thank you to Elodie and the rest of the staff for such a welcoming visit.

Stuff unlocked the door and brought another customer to my room

Close to everything.Bathroom was too small though.

Hostess was very personable and helpful . She offered directions, restaurant recommendations and personalized breakfast.

Such a friendly welcome and very helpful receptionist. Hotel very good value and I would recommend unless it’s hot, which it was when we stayed. There is no air conditioning so the room was unbearable. The hotel did its best with a fan but it just wasn’t enough to cope with the heat.

My daughter and I had a very good stay. Very clean surroundings. Easy access to everywhere.

This hotel is in a mixed residential and small retsil commercial neighbourhood. It as as typical of Paris living as one could hope to find.

Exceptionally friendly staff. The room was very compact but clean and the bed was really, really, really comfortable. I was overlooking the street but had no problems with noise - however, it was November!

The lady at reception is really nice and should be commended for her welcome. It makes all the difference. The street at the front of the hotel is noisy, so ask for a room at the back when you book.

The fantastic hostess Elodie was wonderfully accommodating as always . Our third time to stay in this perfect location as we find it so convenient to the metro with great connections to all that Paris has to offer. What some may feel this hotel lacks is more than made up for in many ways. We can't wait to be back

Convenient to Place d'Italie in Paris. Very kind and helpful staff. Small but clean rooms. No elevator. Complicated access to wifi.

We loved staying here. What a great area. Minutes walk from bars and restaurants. 7 or 8 mins from a metro station and on a fairly quiet street. The hotel is a bit old fashioned, didn't bother us, if you're looking for a bit of luxury this isn't your place, if you're looking for a decently priced place to lay your head within the arondisments in a safe area with a choice of places to eat and drink you'd be hard pushed to beat this.

Comfortable, clean and romantic rooms . Near to a metro station with three train lines. Super nice reception and helpful. Room 14 city view was in good size and clean, I could hear the neighbors and the noise from the street but it didn't interrupt my sleep. I didn't eat breakfasts but you can choose to eat at the hotel for 7 euros

Both the stay and breakfast were excellent value. A little down at heel, but excellent shower, nice to have a table and chair. Very warm, personal welcome.

nice owner. narrow stair, no elevator, good for young. there are two beds, one queen one tween. looks can contain three people

Excellent mid size hotel with rooms larger then expected for Paris,friendly service and lovely village-like atmosphere in the locality. Close to 2 metro lines and Chinatown.
