The hotel is located a bit outside of the old city centre (20m walk or 7m Uber) however the walk to the city centre is very pleasant through the streets of San Blas neighbourhood, peppered with nice stores and restaurants so you can get a glimpse of city life in Cusco. The location is very safe and conveniently located close to stores, restaurants, laundry service etc. It was a great spot to use as a base for all excursions and visits in the city. The hotel is very clean, and very well managed - the staff is kind and very helpful (Chantal and Ronnie were delightful - as were the rest of the staff). Breakfast is served in the room and it is fresh and plentiful, giving us a lot of energy for the high altitude treks we did. Another plus is that if you are lucky to have a suite with a view, you will get a beautiful sight of the city of Cusco. We went in late August and the weather was chilly so be aware that temperatures can drop close to 0-5 Celsius in the night. The hotel does provide a personal heater if you request, however do pack sweaters - incidentally the markets offer a beautiful array to choose from. Overall an amazing stay and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for any visitors.

A great stay in a safe location. There needs to be someone at front desk at all times given the early morning activities. Multiple times of ringing the doorbell too much. The guy at the front desk is amazing but he is only one person and can only do so much.

Confrable and secure

I want to start by saying that I love Cusco—this city is incredible, and absolutely worth visiting. But my experience at Rhouse was disappointing not because of the cold or minor inconveniences, but because of how the staff handled our discomfort. The room was freezing at night, and there’s no central heating—only a single small plug-in heater, which wasn’t enough for two people. I politely asked for a second heater. The response? A flat “no.” No explanation. No attempt to help. Just “no.” It was only after I said I would leave a review that they suddenly said, “Actually, we can bring you another heater.” That moment told me everything I needed to know about their approach to service. It’s not about guest comfort—it’s about protecting their image. I wasn’t even planning to leave a review at all, despite the cold, the lack of hot water, or the weak Wi-Fi—all of which were mentioned in previous reviews. I was willing to let it go. But what I can't ignore is how they chose not to help until they felt pressured publicly. This isn’t about amenities—it’s about how you treat people. They could’ve done better, and they chose not to. That’s what guests should really be aware of. Cusco is amazing. Just be thoughtful about where you stay.

I stayed in Cusco and had a great experience. The location was convenient, close to the main square, and within walking distance of several local spots worth checking out. The staff was respectful and helpful when I needed anything, and the space itself was clean and well-kept. One thing to note is that Cusco’s altitude hits hard if you're not used to it. I appreciated that coca tea was available. It helped. Overall, it was a solid stay and a good base for exploring the Sacred Valley and preparing for Machu Picchu.

Clean spacious place

The hotel provided a nice stay for our 1 night in Cusco. It was about a 15 minute walk to the city center which is where most of the restaurants and shopping are. Only issue, which was nothing the hotel could control, was a lot of local dogs barking during the night.

This was our first time in Cusco and a lot of adjusting to less “city-like” etc. so we didn’t have high expectations of a 5-star stay but this place was perfect for our family and the hosts were excellent. We felt safe as they locked up at night, breakfast was included, gave us great recommendations for food places, gave us cocoa leaves for the altitude adjustment. Nice place to stay if you’re looking to explore and need someone knowledgeable about the city.

Excellent services

Beautiful, spacious apartment with great views of cusco. The area feels very much like a small town and quiet throughout the day. Can feel a little unsafe, most businesses lock their doors even throughout the day. And it got noisy during the night because of the dogs outside. But the apartment itself was gorgeous and just as listed in the photos.

We really enjoyed our time at rhe Davesa Hotel! The staff was amazing and helpful. We would definitely stay there again, and would recommended to orhers 😀

A very cozy place, very spacious, first class service, I was really surprised by the size, the cleanliness, everything was excellent, highly recommended.

The location was very nice and the staff was even better. They made every effort to make my stay comfortable. Top credit to the. My only complaint was that the building was just too cold for european or north american standards.

The staff was very helpful during our stay here.We were in Cusco for a few days and they were very accommodating for transportation and recommendations for activities. Then we went to machu picchu and they were able to accommodate our luggage. We returned happily for an extra night before returning home. I was here two years ago and would not go to any other hotel. 10/10
