Complex isn’t good feels like place is running into the ground ,WiFi limited 2G for two days four people ,3 TVs but all TVs connected so everyone has to watch same thing plus you have to get out of bed and go to living room to change channel just awful really such a shame wouldn’t stay again

It's more like a one day apartment but if you check in after 7pm, you on your own if something is wrong, like in my case. R 1.000 and that as a special is not worth it. Lights were broken, TV didn't work, and the stock of utilities in the kitchen was irregular. The interior is cool. But that's all what's positive

2 night stay at Insignia with friends. We could not sit on the couches as they were stained and had a stench. Ottoman was changed upon complaining. Kettle was completely broken and replaced after complaining. Towels were torn and were changed only after the second complaint. Bed linen was torn and not changed, despite complaining to housekeeping. No extra blankets in apartment. General cleanliness and housekeeping is terrible. Will not recommend and will not book again.

Such as place. Mildew in bathrooms. Broken blinds and rails. Missing items from the inventory and no effort from the owners to improve or replace any missing or broken items. The apartment was not ready when I checked in. Not even enough linen to have the beds made up and they have no spare stocks so linen is sent to the laundry and you have to wait for it’s return so they can make up the beds. lots of items missing off the inventory in the apartment and no effort to restock any of it. T&Cs not valid for the apartments they rent but you expected to sign and then on the terms it’s states housekeeping sign has to be placed on door before 12 but when placed at 1145 was told it’s too late and should of been on before 10 contrary to the terms signed at Check-in. No cleaning equipment in apartments to even assist now with limited cutlery and crockery so you end up having to use your hands. Just stay away

Comfortable place, lots of space for two people. Our apartment was a bit dark, but was on the ground floor. Would have been great to have some coffee to use with the French press provided, rather than the instant coffee.

The apartments are very nice but unfortunately the day we arrived we did not have either wi-fi nor running water. The staff said it was an usual event since they were fixing some pipes but we just stayed for one night so I wouldn't know if it was just a one day event or not.

This is not a hotel! It is a luxury apartment complex with beautiful and spacious apartments. Check in ends at 5pm so make sure to call Insignia if you are arriving after this time, they will leave the keys for you at the gate.

I/we have stayed here previously and the stay been fantastic - however on booking for a third visit after I received the confirmation email and credit card debit I noted that there was an error stating that two rooms for 4 adults had been reserved and the money debited off my card - I immediately emailed reservations about this error (within 2/3 minutes according to email records) ; I did not receive a reply. The following day I noted online that still the two debits were reflected - I phoned American Express South Africa and they confirmed the debits were not banked but on hold - I presumed this would be sorted out upon checkout. As again it was a weekend there were no staff on duty and check out was done with the guard at the gate - During this time I contacted the management of the apartments - based in Cape Town and not onsite - had a rude threatening lady to me saying that they were full and would debit me for everything! The place was certainly not full as I could see from empty car parks and no lights on in apartments - it was VERY quiet and also the quietest time of year for Johannesburg (December) as everyone goes away on holiday and hardly any businesses are open. I then opened some email complaints in which management asked me when did I make them aware of the problem of the booking - I sent the emails back showing that I queried it within minutes of the booking - I never received a reply but now notice both the debits have been banked - I am reversing the payments
