Such a lovely place to stay.

The hotel itself is in need of a makeover. The rooms are dated and the exterior of the property is shabby. However, the saving grace for this hotel is the staff. They are really welcoming and helpful. I also ate in the restaurant and the food was very good.

We have stayed here a couple of times now and love it here. Rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean with some of my favourite toiletries in the bathroom and Tunnock biscuits for a snack. Breakfast is hot and tasty with cereals and a varied choice for breakfast from a full Scottish fry up to pastries, French toast and porridge to name a few. I chose the pancakes with banana and syrup and there were devine. Plenty of tea and coffee too. We had lunch on the Friday prior to checking in - fish and chips and steak pie - both delicious. Staff are always genuinely friendly, cheery and helpful here and are a credit to the hotel with particular mention to John in the bar and Rose in reception. Thank you for another wonderful stay. Can’t wait to come back.
