Dirty bathroom, rooms in need of modernisation. Wouldn’t recommend. Standard of cleanliness of rooms generally leaves a lot to be desired. Indicative of the standards is the note left by the housekeeping team….. on a notepad that had previously been soaked by an unknown liquid. Not sure what’s worse - the fact that they didn’t even notice or the fact that they did, and didn’t think it was an issue. Generally run down, wouldn’t return.

We had a super 1 night stay at the Three Swans. The food was very nice , friendly locals in the bar, the staff were without exception very warm and welcoming while the room we stayed in (room 108) was spotlessly clean comfortable bed and a fabulous shower Thoroughly recommend this hotel

This can't be a 4 stars hotel. Building is very old with old windows and worn out carrpets. All doors are also worn out and unadjustable so they are slamming constantly, it's impossible to sleep after 6 AM. We were on the first floor with narrow and steep staircase. Aperently there is also a newer and nicer building. We paid extra for an upgrade from "Clasic" to "Superior". Not sure what we get, but there was nothing superior about our room. Bathroom was terrible with rust everywhere, dirty towels and someone's hairs. The size of the room was fine. The location of the hotel was very nice. Wifi didn't work at all. I went to the reception, the lady told me it will be repaired tomorrow and let me know. She didn't so I had to buy an UK sim card.

We were in Leicestershire to attend a wedding and The Three Swans was the nearest hotel. We arrived on Mothers Day and they were extremely busy but nowhere felt rushed. We reserved a table for the evening and the restaurant looked fully booked but again calm, no rush. Very good service and extremely good food. Our room was big, very clean and the bed very comfy. Toiletries provided in the bathroom. We would definitely take a detour to stay here again. Thank you.

Great secure parking. Staff were friendly abd room was spotless. Good selection of tea / coffee / biscuits. Window a little worse for wear! But had a good nights sleep. Brekafast was good but the granola was all stuck together in one lump in the container and some products slow to be replenished. All in all Good value for the money it must be said.

Swapped rooms as the bed was far too high for me to get on & off. Im 5ft & have a disability, so the bed was not suitable. Also breakfast staff said we were late for breakfast which is why there were no eggs left. It was 0900!! Your room info says breakfast is from 0730-0930. If you stop serving food at 0900 then your info should say so.

Room was lovely, staff and services very good, buffet breakfast very good unfortunately the whole experience was spoiled for us by the HGV delivery lorry that arrived outside our window at 6am and left the engine running for the entire 45 minutes it took to noisily unload, really wouldn’t be acceptable in Japan

Room fine. Could hear movements throughout the night from floor above which caused lack of sleep. Breakfast lovely.

Good selection of freshly cooked produce. Friendly staff. Overall, not bad. We have stayed many times but alas we would not stay again after the events of this paticular stay. Christmas day 1.30am fire alarm and evacuation. Very poor fire evacuation procedures. Left standing in the carpark muster point for what seemed like an eternity then sent back to our room with no explanation as to what was happening. Very poor communication. Not good for my wife as she suffers fron severe anxiety. Boxing day 6.00pm. Yet another fire alarm and evacuation and the same haphazard approach. People still dining and kids running around in the resteraunt. Again, no communication as to what or why so we chose to pack up and leave that evening. Being a fire marshall myself, if this had been a large scale fire for real i dread to think of the outcome. A very sombering thought. Staff training on fire procedures and communication is a must. These events spoilt the what should have been a pleasant christmas break. Very disappointed
