We enjoyed our stay at the Castle and the staff were wonderful. The property is isolated so be prepared to stay in respect to dining etc. Our meals were delicious and the dining area was lovely. The room was small but comfortable

Our room was huge, it was an amazing stay in a castle. The staff really went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Food was delicious and fit for a king. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. We loved our stay at Walworth Castle.

My sister and I have stayed twice on our yearly pilgrimage from the south to visit our roots. We love the situation and genuine care and friendliness of the staff. Just a couple of points about our last visit. The twin room in the annex(7) was very dark which was accentuated by the sombre decor. The towels were rather thick and didn't seem to dry us efficiently! However , our first visit(governess's room) was much more pleasant and welcoming. I'm sure we'll be back. Appreciated the free bottles of water on our leaving on a very hot day. A big thank you to all the staff and hope that ?Adrian who looked after us at breakfast will still be there.

Walworth Hall is a great hotel set in a castle! Everything was perfect .... well almost! We had booked a suite, which was everything we wished for except it was on the top floor! There are no lifts and so our room was only accessible by climbing the stairs. As we are both over the age of 80, this was pretty tiring! Fortunately we were only staying one night. I would definitely recommend the hotel as an amazing place to stay but if we stay there again, we would request a room on a lower floor!

A lovely setting with a picturesque and historic building. Rooms are either in the castle itself or in the attached wing, which seems to be slightly more modern. The bathroom is highly modern, the room less so. Overall very comfortable and well appointed. Not entirely soundproofed (corridor sounds, doors closing and some talking). Excellent dining - i enjoyed the lamb moussaka and had a great glass of Shiraz with it. Nice staff, attentive service.

All good except levels of noise by other guests in adjacent rooms. Heat in the room, it was too hot, no a/c and only one window would open. Fan provided by staff made more noise than it provided cooler air.

We stayed in Annexe part of the castle, very dated. Tiny window in our room with lots of ivy growing over so lots of spiders coming in. Room was very small. Breakfast was included the castle cooked breakfast was very poor, hardly anything on plate,i personally have to have gluten-free so all i had was 1 mushroom, 1 half piece of tomato, 2 small slices of bacon,1 poached egg,had to ask if i could have gluten-free bread, finally got 2 slices. Didn't find the staff very pleasant.

The setting is absolutely stunning. We stayed in the Hansard Suite and this was a great size, the sofa is super comfy and the 4 poster bed is very comfortable. The restaurant food was outstanding and we cannot give enough praise to Ashley the restaurant manager and the young man on front of house reception who made our experience so exquisite.

Very love area with walking paths, forest and birds, lots of birds. The dining hall, reception and lounge area are fabulous. The extra building housing non-suite rooms is very tired looking and cold, but the price reflects that, so no complaints. Staff is very helpful and attentive. I would definitely stay there again.

Staff exceptional, esp Dale and Ashley. They took marvellous and personal care of us. The Castle itself is showing its age. The mattress in our room needs replacing. We had a suite in one of the towers, which was huge, with a massive sitting room, but it was at the very top, only accessible by stairs, so unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. The evening meal and cooked breakfasts were delicious and cooked to order, a rare experience in this day and age.
