My first visit to Marrakesh was as a solo traveller, and I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Riad Ilayka is a real gem hidden in the Medina. As soon as you step inside, it feels calm and welcoming, while the buzz of Marrakesh is just outside the door. I arrived earlier than expected, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. After an early start and a long journey, it was much appreciated. They were always happy to help with recommendations, from hammams to places to visit, and their suggestions were spot on. Thanks to them, I visited Jardin Majorelle and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, which ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The riad is beautiful, full of character, and very well looked after. Its location is perfect for exploring the Medina and souks, with everything within easy reach. As a first-time visitor travelling alone, I was a little nervous before arriving, but those worries quickly disappeared. The friendly and welcoming staff made a big difference and helped make my stay such a positive experience. I would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakesh.

The staff was very helpful and gracious. We felt like we were guests at someone’s home. We appreciated the hospitality and the warmth they showed.

Riad Ilayka was one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was outstanding, and the location in the Medina was perfect. They prepared a delicious breakfast for us each morning and even offered to escort us to dinner at another restaurant on our first night, as well as to an ATM so we could get cash for the weekend. It was a really awesome experience from start to finish. 5/5 stars.

Fantastic stay with incredible staff!

We were treated with exceptional hospitality by the hosts Abdelhek and Abdelilah (abdul and abdul) and all the staff. The Riad ilyaka was beautiful and very well managed. Every detail was handled well: delicious breakfasts, fresh flowers, transport..

Pro- Abdo was excellent and went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. The staff was super attentive. Con- the WiFi was not working in our suite.

We are so glad that we picked Riad Illayka for our first visit to Marrakech. You are treated like family from the moment you arrive. Rahim went out of his way to make us comfortable. From trying to navigate the souks, avoiding getting scammed, to making reservations for dinner and excursions. He also arranged a personal masseuse to come on the premises for us. The riad itself is absolutely stunning and so luxurious. The location is central to everything and you could walk to all the landmarks around the city. The breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. Be ready to be pampered and treated like royalty in this beautiful Riad that feels like home away from home. Can’t wait to be back sometime in the future and stay with these lovely people again!

Everything perfect, staff exceptional!

from the moment we stepped in it was like stepping into an oasis. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Everything was spotless. Our room was amazing. We slept so well. The little treats in the afternoon left in our room were great and really appreciated. I would definitely return and stay again. It was in the heart of the Medina and walkable to everything.

This is a beautiful Riad in Marrakech that my family and I really enjoyed! Its location is perfect and close to everything in the Medina. The staff is wonderful and provides excellent customer service to all its guests. I highly recommend this Riad and would definitely stay here again!

We spent three wonderful nights at Riad Ilayka and absolutely loved it. The riad is a beautiful historic home tucked away in the Medina — super quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk to everything. Our room was huge, and the bathroom was enormous with the most amazing Moroccan tile work. Every detail made us feel like royal guests! The staff were so kind, gracious, and spoke great English. We felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time. Breakfast on the patio was a lovely way to start each day. It’s no surprise this place is often fully booked — we feel very lucky we managed to get a room.

Wonderful

Great Place to be, I was supposed to be there in 2023 around the time of the earthquake, end up going to Tanger but we was able to come this time. Place is charming and inviting, you will feel like it’s your home away from home. Marrakesh is a cacophony of sounds and voices and but the people are still the best I met. You won’t regret!

Very attentive staff, especially Abdul who was very helpful. The property and the rooms were beautiful. Location was convenient and only 10 minutes walk away from the main square, although the path to the main square can be a bit difficult to navigate - luckily Abdul kindly showed us the way so we didn’t get lost. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

This is a traditional Riad with very attentive staff. The breakfast was excellent and the furnishings I. The room very Moroccan. Excellent internet and right in the centre of everything- souks, restaurants. The staff were exceptional. Nothing was a bother.
