First, NO elevator. If your room is on the second floor you have to carry your luggage up and down. Air conditioning struggled but it was OK. Room itself was nice, large, and comfortable. Not sure about all the rooms however ours had air jets in the bathtub. Not sure I would stay in St. John again however if I did and I decided I would be OK with the stairs I would probably stay here again. Note: they have limited parking.

We had a great experience here. The location is great for walking to the harbour. The room was very clean with a very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Communication was very good, and check in was easy. We will come again if we’re back in St. John.

Beautiful building and room, very clean and comfortable. Communication was clear and helpful, plenty of amenities and the super comfortable bed and the jet tub made the stay feel luxurious. Parking is a bit awkward, but doable. We parked in the ramp right across the street for $20CA for the night. Walkable to some great restaurants and a relaxing waterfront path. (It is on a steep hill, so wherever you walk, expect a little climb.) Fantastic stay!

I booked for 3 adults but there was only sleeping space for two. A comfortable cot was provided very quickly when I notified them of the discrepancy.

Just as it says in listing. No surprises. Parking was very close and convenient to the building we stayed in. We were on the street side so a little noisy but the customer service, full kitchen, decor, size of room is exceptional. The air conditioner could be larger and it was a little noisy and probably misplaced as it is in window right beside the bed. I am 5'3" and had trouble getting up into bed as it is quite high. I can't recall because we stayed at 8 different hotels in 14 days whether this hotel had a grab handle in the shower/tub. Only 2 locations had grab handles which is a serious safety issue

Exceptional property - great location, room meticulously clean, even had a washer/dryer we could use and a jet tub.

It was a darling space. Cozy and perfect for a stay of a few days or more. Well appointed kitchenette and a very comfy bed. My only comment would be that the stairs to room 7 are a steep climb and would be difficult for anyone with physical challenges or big bags. A note indicating this at time of booking would be helpful. I will definitely be staying here again. It’s central location was ideal.

Great location. Staff not onsite. Couldn't get the heat to work even after contacting the on call person. Bed was extremely high, my wife couldn't get up without help. The housekeeper was very helpful and lent a step stool.

A mini studio apartment. Comfy King bed, clean bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. Bring some groceries to make your own breakfast. Close to Uptown restaurants and the City Market. Loved our stay here.

We loved it as soon as we walked in. So much charm. So comfy and warm. Very very clean and I love the towel and face cloth decor!!!

Beautiful room, bed & bath & so convenient. A little hiccup with my paid parking as someone was parked in my assigned spot but Tristan took care of it right away & was so helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chipman Suites. The space was beautiful and comfortable - a real home away from home. It was sparkling clean with everything we needed for a three day stay. The location is great: walk-able to restaurants and venues. (We didn't need a car and just took a cab from the airport). The daily housekeeping staff was perfect: never intrusive and always doing more than we expected. The space felt totally refreshed. The kitchen had everything and was very well organized. We look forward to staying again and highly recommend this wonderful place.
