In May, my wife and I travelled from Australia to visit our daughter living in London. During a 5 week period we stayed at the Shoreditch Courthouse Motel for 3 different stints, varying between 3 days to 8 days each time. We could not recommend this place highly enough. Right from the moment we entered, the place gave off a classy, cared for vibe. With a cinema, bowling alley, a pool and a spa, it was more than a bit special. Our room on the sixth floor overlooked the rooftop bar and had a fabulous nighttime view of the city lights. Our room was super spacious, beautifully clean, very comfortable and (thank god) air conditioned. The motel staff were superb to deal with. From the breakfast staff to the bar staff, everyone was courteous, friendly and nothing we asked of them was ever a problem. A special mention of Mihail and Rafi, two of the motel's Concierges. They went out of their way to make our stay special and both were a brilliant advertisement of quality customer service. If I could give these 2 superior employees a rating higher than 5 stars, I would gladly do so, as both genuinely deserve it. Our stay at the Courthouse Motel at Shoreditch was money well spent and I would gladly recommend it and stay there again when we next go to London.

We booked our couples massage at Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch over TWO MONTHS in advance. We specifically requested a couples massage with one female and one male masseuse. This was confirmed. We were only in London for ONE DAY and this was supposed to be a special part of our trip. When we arrived, we were told they could NOT accommodate what we booked. Instead they told us we would have to get individual private massages from male masseuses in completely separate rooms the exact opposite of what we paid for and requested. When we told them that was not acceptable and not what we booked, their attitude was terrible. They said "oh, someone else booked the other experience." So what? We are also guests and we booked 2 months in advance. Why was our booking given away? They brought the manager on duty out who was absolutely no help at all and was extremely unhelpful and dismissive. Her only excuse was "we emailed you this morning." We are traveling, we were only in London for one day you should have let us know WELL in advance that you could not accommodate us, not the morning of when we are already there. Then they refused to give us a refund. They told us it would be impossible to get a refund through them and that it could only be changed. We don't live in London, we can't just change it. They completely gaslit us the entire time. The staff and the manager on duty were unprofessional, unhelpful, and did not care at all that they ruined our experience. Zero accountability. If you can't honor a booking made 2 months in advance, don't take the booking. Terrible customer service. Terrible management. Will never be back and would never recommend this place to anyone visiting London.

Wonderful hotel overall in a great location, but a few minor details in the rooms could really improve the experience. The tea and coffee facilities were disappointing — only one small sachet of coffee and two tiny milk portions were provided, which is barely enough for a single drink each. The shower gel was also very limited, with just one small tub supplied, not really enough for two people to use comfortably. It felt as though the hotel may be compromising on the finer details while focusing too heavily on profit margins. Another downside was the TV. It wasn’t a smart TV, which feels quite outdated for a hotel of this standard. Without access to apps like Netflix or other streaming services, you’re limited to basic Freeview channels, many showing older programmes. London can be exhausting after a full day out, and sometimes you just want to return to your room, put a film on, and relax — unfortunately, the TV setup didn’t really allow for that. If you stay here, I’d recommend bringing your own toiletries and tea/coffee supplies, although there is a supermarket conveniently located just around the corner. It’s also worth bringing a laptop or tablet if you’re planning a quiet night in watching a film. That said, the bed and pillows were great, and the swimming pool and sauna were a lovely touch, especially opening from 7am. Overall, it was still a very enjoyable stay in terms of the facilities and location, but slightly let down by the room itself and the lack of attention to smaller comforts. For a hotel of this stature, I would have expected much better attention to detail, rather than the room feeling as though it had been designed on a very tight budget.

You feel the cost cutting. The hotel was nice, but it’s suffering from years without maintenance. The water taps in the spa are broken, you find scratches and missing paint and the rooms are not clean. You find hairs in the bath and on the floor. The worst is the breakfast. No healthy food, just convenience stuff and English breakfast. It’s a ask for a hard attack. This industry is getting even worse after COVID

Had the absolute best experience hosting a cinema screening at the Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch! This place is luxury at its peak. The hospitality we received was truly amazing, and they didn’t just handle the screening, they took care of absolutely everything to perfection. A massive shoutout to the incredible staff who made it all happen. Rafi, Blesson, Qassim, and Daljith provided the best customer service we could have ever asked for. Also, a huge thank you to the amazing Nanda for the best sales services and top-tier hospitality. This hotel truly has the best staff ever! Whether you are planning a corporate event or a personal getaway, I highly recommend this place. It has everything you need in one spot: incredible rooms, events, a movie theater, a spa, bars, and restaurants. There is so much happening here. 10/10, will definitely be back!
