We stayed here one night while walking Hadrian's Wall. The place was nice, though a bit pricey. However, there is little competition and the place was full, so I assume it's demand led pricing. Our room had a noisy kitchen extraction fan nearby, but at least it was switched off at about 9pm so we weren't troubled through the night.

We booked this stay as the rooms looked nice and fresh. (White, blue), In reality our room was old, dark. Mold in shower

What an excellent overnight stay we had. Very informative helpful staff on check in . Room was small but it was only 1 night so was fine. We had the dinner and stargazing package.Main course of Sunday roast was not hot I’m afraid . The rest of the meal was delicious as was breakfast the next day. Stargazing experience amazing ! Needed a reminder about how to enter the hotel afterwards at 12.30 !

Shower was very hard to adjust temperature. Everything else good.

Lovely stay - staff were very friendly and welcoming, room was lovely, clean and good amenities. Breakfast was delicious and lots of options. Great location for walking the wall and lovely views.

Nice room with good Ringtons tea drinks and biscuits. TV very small. Lovely meal and beers in the bar. Big portions.. Nice shop. Lovely surroundings and access to Hadriens wall. Breakfast had a good selection. Friendly staff.

very nice room, recently rtenovated and you could tell. restaurant had a good mix of food on and bar staff very welcoming. had a dog with us and no issues. he was well looked after. its on a tourist route but actually the staff looked like they really enjoyed their jobs. warm fire in the evenning and the brewery was nice too.

We had a lovely stay in a comfortable room. We had a nice dinner in the bar which was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and served with a smile. And the beer’s not bad either!

I was a completely unplanned visitor who trekked the moors at night to reach the Inn. Though the only thing that happened on the moors was fulfilling an American's silly Holmesian fantasy of walking the moors at night, everyone was concerned for my safety and I really appreciated that. My stay was wonderful, the food was really delicious, and everyone with whom I spoke was just up-front and pleasant. I will be back some day and guess where I'll stay?

Staff ,Rooms & Food was amazing as usual Beer Tap ,hosted by Nick on Sunday is such a good experience- will be back in the spring 😀
