There are four elevators and three were inoperable. With hundreds of guests having to go up and down 16 floors was totally unacceptable. wainting times was as much as 10 minutes or more to get on the one small elevator that worked. Marriot should be ashamed of this poor service.and to charge $35.00 for valet parking was a travesty. I paid nearly $400 a night for my room and you'd think for that price the hotel could provide free parking.

Excellent customer service, especially the valet parking. The decor and cleanliness of the room are some of the best I’ve seen in my frequent travels. This is really just a beautiful hotel and great place to stay.

The Valet team was extremely kind and helpful. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful as well. Quiet place to stay.

This over priced Fancy looking place needs a ton of work. I normally stay at the Ritz Carlton but decided to give this place a try because it was close to UAB. The staff was amazing, when I told them about the Elevator stopping abruptly on 2 when it should have gone to the first floor, causing us to be elevated off our feet. The staff closed the elevator immediately. The TV didn't work but maintenance was sent right away. The tile floors are coming up, the water was extremely hot in the sink and I could not change the temperature. Overall the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. The roof top bar was a decent place to have a drink and appetizers. The staff at the front desk and the bells persons were amazing. Management did contact me to apologize for the inconveniences. I appreciate that but the extra points , free food and drinks don't overshadow poor maintenance for an overpriced stay. Live up The expectations of the Website.

They properly was uniquely designed and established super friendly.

Right in downtown Birmingham. The area felt safe but most of the buildings were empty. Valet staff was very friendly & helpful. The front desk attendant was NOT friendly at all when we checked in.

Our room was beautiful and remarkably clean. The staff was amazing, including the valets.

Didn’t love the decor of this property and it was a little noisy. We could hear traffic noise from the street. Did not like the doors on the shower and commode area. Bed was comfortable though.

The hotel seemed totally unprepared for the Birmingham Bowl game crowd. It was under staffed.

Other than the noise of the trains it was a good place to stay for The Alabama Theater

Enjoyed an excellent blackberry lemon drop at Moon Shine, the rooftop bar, where I went outside to see the beautiful sunset.

Old building/hotel that's been updated but also kept alot of it's original charm.

Love the vibe, rooftop bar and staff! Fav place. Parking is way too expensive
