The over all property was fine, our room was not. The bathroom had no outlets that worked. The ceiling near the sinks were low and i kepts bumping my head. The mirror above the sink is so low you can't see your face. The shower enclosure is extremely small for the size of the bathroom. There wasn't anywhere to set your needed items to take a shower. There was a tv in the room, however you couldn't see it from the bed. The breakfast was lovely. Hopefully other rooms are better than the one we had.

Our review of the Dashwood Manor is pretty mixed. On the plus side, the staff was friendly the location is excellent and the bed was comfortable. But for the price we paid, we expected more. There is zero room cleaning during your stay, which was surprising. The breakfasts were just ok, and were identical both days we were there except eggs were replaced by pancakes the second day. The room we were in - the Dorset - is on the third floor, and the bathroom ceiling has an extreme pitch. This made it so anyone over 4' tall can't see themselves in the mirror over the sink. There is a larger mirror on the other side of the bathroom, but there's no lighting there. The shower was so tiny we couldn't bend over to wash our feet.

Dashwood Manor is now one of our favourite places to stay. Check in and out were so easy, the whole place was very clean. The amenities were fantastic. We got to have our included breakfast in our room and they accommodated my gluten allergy. The bed was comfortable and the soaker tub was amazing. 10 out of 10 from us :)

Despite excellent hospitality does not live up to its price point. There was limited heating during the night, and one simple daily menu for breakfast that was not anything special. Daily cleaning service non-existent so take out your own trash, make your own bed is not what one would expect of a renowned b&b. Water tea and coffee available all day in the dining room is a welcome lovely touch, but we would not choose to stay here again.

Wonderful staff. Liked the snack availability in a common area (cookies tea water etc). Only complaint was a tiny shower/bathroom in our particular room, due to it being an older home. And it would be nice if there was some way to talk to the staff after 4pm...maybe there was and I missed it, though.

Dashwood Manor is clean and quiet. It's in an ideal location between the beach and Seaside and the lively Cook Street village. Walking trails are easily accessible to incredible views. The breakfast served was delicious and the staff was welcoming. I wish my stay was longer.

I had several issues with the cleanliness and overall condition of my room, but the main problem was a bed that was squeaky and VERY uncomfortable. I slept poorly and woke with considerable back pain due to a "crater" worn by one side of the bed being used more than the other. I requested and was given a refund on my non-refundable charges, so at least the manager was responsive to my concerns. But this was disappointing stay and not something I would want to repeat.

Just an all around beautiful property right next to the ocean. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful and the water was hot. Breakfast was fresh, we enjoyed some board games and a charming view. Overall we would highly recommend it here.

I loved our stay. Service, cleanliness, food, location all top notch, 5 star. Loved the 24 hour pastries and non alcoholic drinks. The ocean view at breakfast soothes the soul.

We so enjoyed our stay at the Dashwood Manor B&B. Our room had a beautiful view of both Beacon Hill Park and the ocean. The room was beautifully decorated in early 20th century furnishings complete with a massive four poster bed. It was quiet and so comfortable. And the breakfasts were delicious and very generous portions - no need for lunch! The staff were friendly, courteous and professional. We couldn't have asked for more for our holiday and anniversary celebration. We will be back!

We were in the Kensington Room and had an amazing view of the ocean. Two wing back chairs to sit in and enjoy the view and people and dog watch. Staff was great and the breakfast was very filling- much more than we eat at home. We felt recharged and rested during our stay. We plan to return.

Dashwood is a wonderful B & B in a historical building. The building itself has a lot of heritage charm, and so does the room I stayed in. There was a partial ocean view in the spacious, comfortable room. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had a nice tv, period furniture, a small fridge, a desk, and a bathroom with lots of hot water and a comfy tub! It was tastefully appointed and quiet in the evenings. The breakfast was a bonus, and the staff friendly and accommodationg! I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Clean, friendly staff . Easy check in with key code. No contact required. The window for breakfast is short, one hour only. Not enough table to accommodate all guests so a short wait may be necessary. It was a full house the night we stayed.

The staff were so lovely and accommodating. From the moment I got there I felt like I was visiting a friend's house. The dining room has coffee pods and tea, a microwave, Ice machine, and a kettle. Now let's talk about breakfast(8:30 to 9:30). Just wow, so delish. Morning 1 we had the tastiest parfaits, pancakes, bacon guava juice and orange juice and of course coffee! Day 2 we had EGGS BENEDICT and the best potatoes. Everyone from chef to floor staff were 10/10. Thank you for hosting us at the lovely house by the ocean. We hope to come back again soon.
