Marina Hotel is a small pearl located with direct access to Starnberg See. Beautiful surroundings and nature. The hotel is a bit old, but well maintained. The interior needs to be updated. I enjoyed the breakfast at the terrace with an astonishing view over the lake. The brakfast buffet have everything you need. A minus for the fitness center that is unfortunately missing out exercise machines and weights. Nice and clean indoor pool area.

Hotel is very dated and needs a refurb. Curtains did not block out any light. Staff were friendly.

Beautiful position on side of lake, quiet and lovely village of Beinried a few minutes walk along pretty paths and hotel has nice restaurant - enjoyed immensely.

Nice quiet location next to the lake. Good walks around the area, next to Bucheim museum. I got to the hotel at 10:30 and the check-in was at 3:00pm. Since I travel very frequently sometimes I get to hotels early and they ALWAYS find something for me. However, at this hotel they made me wait in the awful lobby area for 4 hours before my room was ready. The check out time is 11:00 so they could have asked a cleaner to prepare a room for me since I got there early. But they couldn't be bothered that a customer had driven for 12 hours and was tired. I had to go and complain to the manager at 2pm about this and then they gave me a room. The toilet in the reception area stank like a motorway toilet and was from the 1950s.

Great location right on a peaceful lake. Lots of wildlife and sailboats to watch. Very clean. The restaurant is a bit spendy, but we found a very nice casual restaurant within a 5 minute walk. If you're looking for a nice quiet place to stay with a nice lake view this is for you. We'd highly recommend.

I have stayed at hotel marina a number of times when visiting penzberg on business, the hotel it is about 10 minutes walk to the local train station or 2 mins in a taxi. The hotel rooms seem to vary but all have been comfortable with large beds and balconies and all of a good quality. The majority of them with a view of the lake. Depending on the building the room style will change, for example you could have a huge room with a four poster bed and vintage furniture, and another time a slightly smaller room with more modern fitting. This doesn't seem to have anything to do with how much you pay. The hotel restaurant is of a good standard, it has a limited core menu and changes its specials board monthly. The food has always been cooked very well however when staying for a week you soon run our of new things try. The pool and sauna are nice and of a good size. Staff are friendly. Overall this is a great hotel with a nice feel to it. very relaxing and I recommend to anyone wanting to see this part of germany.

It is an ok value for money. The breakfast over this weekend was a disaster though, everything was out continuously. Next to that, the room was only fitted out for 1 person (towels etc.), where we were staying there with two. Telling this to front desk did not really make a difference the next day. The location is excellent though, beautiful surroundings.

We spent a lovely weekend at this hotel and enjoyed it very much. It is so clean, calm and peaceful. Rooms are spacious (bathrooms too). We had a lake view room and the balcony was large (uncleaned ashtray on balcony only negative comment). The grounds are well kept and beds very comfortable, rooms quiet. The swimming pool and sauna are also in great condition. Restaurant on premises is fantastic, for dinner and breakfast.

Hervorragende Lage, Zimmer alt aber sauber. Sehr gute Matratzen. Frühstück passt.
