The Airlie is setting is in the bucolic countryside and the grounds are very well kept. However, the lodge, where our room was located, was one step up from a Motel 6. Thin walls meant you could hear every whining kid, sneeze and door slam made throughout the building. The beds were lumpy and housekeeping was “on demand” but somehow that was not conveyed to us, so no fresh towels for three days. The restaurant in the main building was one step above a greasy spoon and service about as Ho-hum as the meal. I even had to track down antacids to keep the gremlins at bay.
I don’t think I’ll go back unless they either up their game or drop their prices substantially.
