Easy to check in, great location, exceptionally friendly staff

This historic hotel has loads of character and is a marvellous central location. I would suggest that it needs some decorative TLC but my room was large and with 2 huge floor to ceiling windows that looked out onto the main street. Room and ensuite were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I met some of the hospitality staff and they were welcoming and cheerful. I would definitely return.

Its a strange feeling as its an unmanned hotel which I was not expecting, so nobody is there at all leaving you feeling very out of the loop. The orange juice was way passed its sellby date and made me feel quite ill. They let me check in a bit early for a small additional fee which was very helpful

The room was basically just dirty, dust on everything, carpets hadn’t been vacuumed, the bathroom floor was dirty. When I arrived there were no lights in the bedroom apart from lamp which also affected the bathroom this was somehow resolved after a few hours.

Self check in was easy, unexpected great breakfast hamper, room was good for an overnight stay, really quite and a good location

The room was very clean and the cleaning staff were so helpful and friendly in the morning. We would definitely stay again when we are next up in Berwick.

The bed was comfortable, was missing staff at 4 when I arrived and the milk in my room was off so I wasn’t able to have a coffee or breakfast

There was nothing I liked about this hotel. I have sent a letter to your customer services department explaining the problems I had with the Queen's Head in Berwick upon Tweed,

Nice little hotel that is basically a B&B. No one staffs the front desk -- you enter with a door code that is sent by the hotel. System worked fine. Hotel is in a good location, near the water and the wall, about 12-15 min from the railway station. Breakfast was fine, although not stellar. Room and dining area were clean. We would stay there again.

The service and the facilities of the room are outstanding comfortable bed. The breakfast was amazing freshly cooked by heather who also takes your order. Good choice of cereal, fresh fruit yoghurt and toast. Then to follow a full cooked breakfast

The hotel was very well worn. The carpets were stained and looked filthy. The smell was very stale and old.

It was a little bizarre to ‘check yourself in’ to a hotel and I’m sure in the winter months it might feel even more strange BUT everything had been thought about. The room was clean and well equipped, comfortable bed and breakfast was delicious. Communication by text told you everything you needed to know ….a very nice stay

Nobody to greet you during stay. Seemed to have reduced staff to absolute minimum. Breakfast was overcooked.
