Parking was very convenient, and a common area is provided for storing and serving food (refrigerator, microwave, sink). Most of all, the room was spotless, the staff were fantastic and the breakfast excellent.

Lovely welcome when we arrived. The B&B has so much onsite to make your stay as comfortable as possible, like a pool room, area to wash and dry your clothes, area to prepare own food, ice ready in freezer… Absolutely enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend.

I wasn't going to review this place as my mother told me that if I couldn't say something nice I shouldn't say anything at all, but, since they asked... First for the likes: the man and woman who we saw working there were genuine, pleasant and helpful. The place was kept clean, the room was cleaned well and there were plenty of towels. The beds were reasonably comfortable and the shower worked well. The location was convenient for the town centre and central beaches The so-so: It's obviously had a lick of paint and some updates to rooms, meaning that things work, but everything has been done so cheaply as to look like a fixed up student rental (electrics in trunking and all) The breakfast is basic but adequate. Now for the not so good: It looks very run down and is sandwiched between a derelict hotel and a building site. The unmanned reception area looks like a security desk in an old betting shop. The "bar" shown in the pictures which I thought would bring some retro kitsch is no longer a bar (to be fair a bar isn't listed) it's just just a room you can use (why would you?) It is priced as a hotel, but is more like a hostel. If you have this in mind or perhaps think of it as an alternative to a surf lodge then you wont be disappointed. So little investment seems to have been put into the place that I can only surmise that it is being kept ticking over until a good development offer is made for the land. Well, I was asked for a review, so had to be honest!

It was ok for just one night, walls paper thin noisy neighbours watching tv and talking loudly until after 1 am, bed not so comfy, just grabbed a quick croissant on my way out so couldn’t really comment on breakfast, location was good.

The hotel is ok if you need a stay for a night. While the cleanliness is impeccable, the hotel is very dated in decor. Beds were comfortable and mattresses seemed fairly new, and breakfast was good ok for a 3 star hotel. I find a rate above £90 no longer value for money though.

for the price, the location and with a free breakfast and free parking, whats not to like, location is great just a few minutes walk from the harbour and decent bars and restaurants.

Really lovely hotel, very close to Newquay centre and the beach. Big clean room with comfy beds and an en suite shower/bath room. Good breakfast. We managed to find parking on site for our full stay which was free. We would definitely return.

Old building in a great location. Buzzer to get into reception so not a full time reception, but once in very friendly welcome. Room was small but comfortable enough. Was wondering how breakfast would be as self service, but wasn't bad. Some hot food available.

The hotel lived up to our expectations. It is located close to the centre of Newquay and the beaches. The room was compact but comfortable, and the bathroom was in excellent condition. The breakfast was better than anticipated from earlier reviews we had read. Not a full buffet breakfast offer, but a decent choice of cold and hot foods. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we would recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for a moderately priced comfortable hotel in Newquay.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The beds were great and, other than some excitable seagulls, it was peaceful and quiet! Great location for easy walking to all beaches, shops and restaurants. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Newquay area!

Older hotel, outdated. I would rate the staff as very efficient. Expedia are not up to date with how late to check in. Expedia says 10pm, it is 9pm. Not much good when the train from Par to Newquay is cancelled and you arrived late.fortunate I phoned ahead
