Great location, near the main walking areas.

The room with a king and twin was very nice, clean and comfortable. The twin was separated by a divider and had it's own TV. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great location to some nearby tourist attraction. Staff were friendly and helpful, and it was easy to arrange transportation to Schiphol. Room was spacious and well-appointed, but we were a little disappointed that the hotel is unstaffed after 5 or 6pm and to get help, we will have to go to the nearby sister hotel. Overall it was still a great experience for our family of four.

The place it’s old and not very well maintained however It’s walking distance to the Dam square and central station

This hotel was just ok. If you are a discerning travel I recommend looking elsewhere. You are on the edge of the red light district and the smell Of weed is so strong it wafts into the hotel reception. There is a koffee shop across the Ally. The only perk is the closeness to Amsterdam central station. Breakfast is just ok…the highlander hotel is a bit dingy and feels like a place people roll into after a night of partying. It just didn’t suit our expectations unfortunately.

Was a fabulous guesthouse style property, with added convenience of a bar and breakfast room at the parent highlander hotel, you do have to take a short walk across a main road. We got a great February deal so it was very reasonable should I have paid peak prices I would have felt very differently.

This property is great! You really get the feel of being in a typical “narrow” house. The hotel staff, Roberto, was so nice and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location and is a walkable distance to pretty much everywhere in Amsterdam!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Property is beautifully decorated and kept very clean. Everything worked well, room well kitted out and some complimentary treats included. Fantastic location. Would highly recommend, will definitely be returning.

Nice and modern hotel in a very convenient location, close to shops, trams, trains, restaurants and the sites. Incredibly helpful staff who provided great recommendations for our stay.

Absolutely friendly and warm staff especially Roberto. Very helpful and accomodating. The place is very accessible, artsy, cosy and worth every penny. I would definitely keep coming back here when I’m in amsterdam.

Highland House was a great place to stay. It is in a great location. Service was excellent. Only downside is that the room was small.

Stunning stay. The room is very small but the location is worth it. We had three people in room it wasn’t bad but it was cozy. The pillows were rock hard like bolders(?) the bed and the AC were great though. I enjoyed the stay, the blue tooth speakers were phenomenal touch
