Cozy, friendly, comfortable with fantastic views of Voss. Easy access to downtown and the train. Has been owned by the same family since the 1700’s and they take great pride in providing a clean, up to date and comfortable place to stay. Just beware if off season when the restaurant is closed.

We loved this hotel! The view, garden, staffs, foods.... everything was perfect. We LOVED the homemade bacon for the breakfast.... we will come back for that!

The Store Ringheim is truly special. The buildings which house the rooms are several hundred years old and the rooms retain their original beams, ceilings, stoves/fireplaces, and other charms, but also have sleek, modern bathrooms. Svein, the owner, is a genial and friendly guy who clearly enjoys his guests, and the same can be said for his staff. Dinner is included in the price of the room, and it was well-prepared, elegantly presented, and featured local ingredients. The Store Ringheim is a bit isolated (after all, it was/is a farm) but Svein picked us up at the train station and whisked us back to the station in the morning. So the isolation is not a minus, but rather a plus, since it adds to the quiet and the ambiance. I strongly recommend it if you are visiting Voss.

Beautiful setting; Svein couldn’t make us feel more at home; fresh picked produce at delicious breakfast: easy walk to great folk museum (take the guided tour): spacious room; only quibble was noise from floorboards of room above Wish we stayed longer and did more hiking in the area.

This charming old farmhouse boutique hotel was a highlight of our trip to Norway. What a beautiful spot and the views - oh my. The owner and staff were so accommodating but the whole feel was relaxed and authentic. Comfortable rooms, expansive grounds and places to hang out outside and just relax. Pluck a strawberry from the garden, walk down to the town of Voss for action or just chill and enjoy the view. The restaurant was fabulous too. Thanks for a great stay.

The views from the hotel were tremendous, the food was exceptional, and the staff was top notch. Only caution, the hotel is about a mile out of town, so will need to arrange transport.

We stayed here for one night during our honeymoon and wish we could have stayed longer! The space is unlike anything - a recently converted family farm to host guests. The buildings are in perfect condition but have a unique flair to them. Dinner was incredible and the views cannot be beat. The hosts were not only more than helpful and interested in making sure our stay was ideal but were also very fun to chat with! As experts with anything local, they were fantastic sources for nearby hikes and connecting us to people within the town. HIGHLY recommend!!

We were looking for a small friendly hotel and found it at Store Ringheim. Svein and his staff were so helpful, he even organised for us to go Ice Fishing which was a really fun experience. The hotel was so convenient for the Voss ski centre and we are certainly planning another visit.

Country charm. Nice views. Quiet. Great service. Large room. If we are ever back in Voss we would stay here again.

Everything about this hotel was special, from the charming and very comfortable rooms to the beautiful gardens with strategically placed, colorful wood chairs and carefully selected art. The hotel is operated by the family that owns the property, and they were kind and welcoming. We loved our stay here, and would stay again if we return to Voss.

Meh. I am solo traveling via train, ferry, bus, etc and wanted to stop in Voss. This hotel was not the right fit for me. Lonely (no other guests, hotel bar closed at 9pm due to lack of interest), too quiet, candlelit breakfast (?), not walking distance from anything except the Folk Museum (which was closed). If someone has lots of money and needs a quiet place to decompress, has a car, has a partner, etc this place would be great. Historical space, farm-life, nice view of valley, coursed out dinner, lovely breakfast spread, sexy bed time vibes, nice television, yummy bathroom. But for me, i just wanted to see Voss and keep moving. This wasn't the place for me.

This is a unique property! A bit 'out of the way' but is serene and with great views because of it. Still, it is not far at all from the centre of the small town. It is sort of a converted farm with some rooms in each of three buildings one of which has reception and the restaurant. At first approach one might think, oh my, what have I booked! Is this some old run down property? But then when you see what it really is one might think the opposite - that it is like some very high end lodge. The truth, from my perspective, is somewhere in the middle. Our room was very large with some period features and modern bathroom. TV and Wifi worked fine, bed was comfortable. The negative about the room was it didn't feel cosy. Need more rugs perhaps. I was disappointed we were provided with only a bath towel and hand towel per person, that was all for the towels. And there was no bath mat, so when you get out of the shower you stand on the cold tile floor. We had dinner at the restaurant which was upscale and very good. The included buffet breakfast was there too which could have been improved with some better coffee and fresher eggs. The front desk does close at night, so it's more like a B&B in that if you need something you'd have to ring up the owner. Speaking of whom, the gentleman I assume is the owner was very pleasant and I'm sure if I mentioned my towel issue to him he would have taken care of it. He did give us some useful travel advice. Was a good choice!

I enjoyed the spacious upgraded rooms completely modernized . The owners were super friendly and hospitable .

Koselig gårdshotell med nyoppussede rom. Stort rom med sittehjørne. Hyggelig restaurant med god mat (men litt under forvented kvalitet. Tørr sjokoladefondant. Lite smak av syltede grønnsaker. Seig mørbrad). Gode porsjoner. Frokost imponerte ikke (tørrstekt eggerøre som var skilt, tørt brød, kun en type melk, ikke så mye lokale spesialiteter som forventet). Servitørene var ikke av fagnivå en kunne forvente på et hotell i denne prisklassen (ikke utdannet innen restaurantfaget, kun sommerjobb). Litt rot i kommunikasjonen mellom restaurant og hotell. Rent og pent rom. Litt lytt ut til gangen og de andre rommene. God seng. God belysning/mørklegging. Nydelige baderomsartikler fra l’Occitane, men ingen hylle i dusjen (må ha alle såper på gulvet). God dusj. God parkering. Gode lenestoler på rommet. Ikke så mye utsikt som forventet fra rommene i redskapshuset.
