The only thing I would have changed was not being able to contact room service on our room phone. I am disabled so could not get down to reception at the end of the day as exhausted. Meant missing out on supper which I was looking forward to. Enjoyed breakfast more as a result!

The staff were wonderful and cheerful. Restaurant and bar were excellent. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The property is within a five minute walk to the theatres and cathedral. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect hotel for weekend break with excellent staff and attitude. Breakfast facilities very good, beds huge, rooms compact. On site parking very useful.

My room was beautiful and luxurious- the bed so so comfy excellent shower and lots of treats in the room. Lovely helpful staff and a delicious breakfast Easy parking in the hotels car park made everything so much more straightforward

We were upgraded which was a very pleasant surprise to us. The room and facilities were all perfect. Lovely size room with all we required to hand. The reception staff were very helpful and efficient, as were the restaurant and cleaning staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The staff were the highlight of this property. Super helpful and go above and beyond. Room itself is nice but very small and nothing fancy.

Really nice traditional hotel, nice rooms, good bar and restaurant. Easy access to town

Nice hotel with an impressive staircase. But our standard room did not have much room when walking around the bed. Bathroom was pleasant and clean and we had a quiet room. However, the sloping floor in our room 134 caused comfort issues on one side of the bed - which is not good for anyone with back/posture issues. Apart from that we liked the hotel.

Wonderful well appointed accommodation. Upgraded to the cottage which was amazing. Central location and onsite parking which I didn't need this time.

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful, and the food was good and served promptly, allowing us to get to the theatre (CFT) in a relaxed manner The room was too warm though (all night), and there was a lot of noise from the street (we were in room 2, above the hotel front door, windows closed) - there were a lot of noisy passers by on and off until gone 3:00am, and then from 7am rubbish collection was very noisy, so we didn't get very much sleep (too warm, too much noise); a shame, as a nice environment, potentially
