The hotel is located in the center of the historical town. Lots to explore within a couple of kilometers. It is quiet, new and well equipped. We slept well. The breakfast was provided with options of Chinese or western style. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. I think it is one of the best hotels I have stayed. Highly recommended!

Our stay at the Golden Tulip Boutique Hotel in Tainan was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to both the hotel’s comfort and the outstanding service—especially from Cody, who truly made our experience unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Cody went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. He spoke excellent English, making communication effortless, and gave us fantastic recommendations for local eats that made our trip even more special. His attentiveness and thoughtfulness were unparalleled—he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, making us feel incredibly welcomed and well taken care of. I’ve traveled extensively, and I can confidently say that Cody provided the best service I’ve ever received. The hotel itself was also a great choice. Our room was comfortably sized—I traveled with a baby and had no trouble fitting our travel crib while still having plenty of walking space. The in-room amenities, including a coffee maker and minibar, added extra convenience, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Despite being in a convenient location with easy access to attractions and dining, the hotel was pleasantly quiet, with peaceful hallways and minimal street noise. Hotel can use a more sensible and flexible policy. I inadvertently booked different types of rooms for two consecutive nights. Hotel refused to upgrade or downgrade my room so that I don’t have to move unless I additionally pay the cancellation penalty and pay the current rate for the changed room. As a frequent world traveller, I haven’t encountered a hotel with such an unfriendly policy. The hotel still insisted that I must check out by 11am and check in at 4pm. I was not feeling well the second day but apparently that made no difference and I had to sit in the lobby for about 5 hours. The staff seemed afraid to violate the unkind management policy. Breakfast options are also surprisingly limited.

Nice hotel with easy access to the train station and bus station and some of the major attractions in the city. The staff was friendly the room was clean, had a great time staying.

Located in the western area of Tainan City, it is about a 10 minutes walk to Tainan train station. Lots of remand shopping nearby. The property is located on a busy street, but you would never notice the hustle and bustle outside when you are inside. The breakfast was an added bonus, with American, Japanese or Chinese options, you must request in advance, and the meal do not vary that much from day to day. Staff is always greatly and helpful with our request. This hotel is good for light packer travelers, we had several large suitcases and found traveling challenging, unless you arrive in vehicles or taxis. Overall we had a plus experience. Thank you.

Lovely well furnished room with excellent ‘older’ style but with modern facilities. Great breakfast. Really good location for the historic parts of Tainan.

We stayed here this time because our usual go-to hotel was fully booked. I'm glad we found this hotel. The location is fantastic, and we could easily walk everywhere! We also took a bus a few times, and there were two bus stops within steps away from the hotel. Remember to bring your toothbrush and tooth paste as you don't stock those items in the rooms. The hotel room was compact, but had enough room to relax. The bathroom was huge, and we enjoyed taking a bath in the tub. The breakfast was fine. We chose the Japanese option, and it was a lot of food. We'll stay here again.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with a lot of old world charm. The staff was very helpful and helped us get taxi to local attractions and the airport.

This hotel is in a great area of Tainan for sightseeing and for delicious dining options (check out the Michelin guide and there are at least three or four reviewed restaurants in walking distance!)

Very clean and newish boutique hotel. The room was small but everything in the room was organized well and felt comfortable. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is planning to spend most of their time outside the hotel.

Liked only the location. Disliked the room (tiny and unpleasant), and the breakfast (simply nothing worth eating except the eggs).
