Everybody at the front desk exceptionally polite and professional. A huge thank you to you all for being so kind. I would also say this that the breakfast staff were exceptionally polite and incredibly kind you have some superb employees. Thank you thank you so much for an amazing time and thank you all for your kindness.

It was difficult to access the car park due to road works and remodelling at the front of the hotel. However what was being undertaken it will be an excellent pedestrian and event area the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful the food was of a high standard. A very pleasant stay

Good spot, handy to the town center

The property has an ambience around it. Olde world.

This is an old hotel in a central location. Parts of the hotel are being used for other purposes. Bar and reception area are nice. No air con so be prepared for when it is hot.

Clean and a great old style hotel.

Booked the Crown and Mitre Hotel for THE WALL (70 mile ultra marathon) it was a perfect stay, great staff, great nights sleep and a great time on the run.

Stay here a couple of times every year and always good. I must give special thanks to the reception, whom I had to phone when completely lost due to major roadworks in Carlisle City Centre. I received clear and precise directions that enabled me to get to the car park. I would otherwise STILL be driving around Carlisle.

The hotel was dated, our room a little shabby (torn curtains, stained carpets and furnishings, old bathroom and cobwebs). For the price, definitely not value for money

Old Edwardian hotel with character. Excellent breakfast.

The knowledge and friendliness of the staff

Very dated hotel with worn out furniture/bathroom.Awful smell in. Corridors. Very deceptive photos. I do not recommend

Surprisingly large hotel. Lovely helpful staff. Good breakfast. Right in the centre of Carlisle. Close to Cathedral. Parking was available for us but is somewhat limited so don’t rely on it. City centre was having a makeover so immediate surroundings were chaotic. Sound insulation in the room was poor.

Room 205 over the kitchen service area. Radio blaring and loud conversations from early morning. Bathroom was grimy with dirty grout and dirty round plug holes. Will not stay here again.

We had a lovely stay

The Crown and Mitre was very comfortable and was in a convenient location. The staff were very hospitable and professional. We enjoyed our dinner and especially our breakfast.
