We really enjoyed the room delivery of our welcome gift and breakfast. We were checked in quickly and efficiently. The room has a unique and fun decor.

Our Room was luxurious. Staff extremely helpful. Very nice breakfast. A little hard to find. I dont recommend to use Rua dos Apostolos because very steep and narrow road. Go by way of Rua Padre Antonio Vieria which is a main road and intersects Rua dos Apostolos. Parking is on the street right nearby if you are lucky.

Place is at very odd location. Parking is not feasible. It’s on a slope steep hills, place is so small, bathroom where you cannot extend your arms. Staff is definitely 5 plus. Very helpful but facility I would not recommend others.

Amazing place up on a hill very near the university. The staff was super helpful with everything from helping us find parking to recommending restaurants where we had our best meals in Portugal.

We LOVED our stay here! Right from when we checked in, we got a glass of champagne and a snack, followed by a wonderful breakfast hand delivered to our room the next morning. Everything was spotless, and the staff was very welcoming. The only thing that you should be aware of is there is no lift, so if you can’t do stairs, ask for a main floor suite. Highly recommend this place in Coimbra!

Great hotel. The rooms were very interesting and comfortable - Especially our bed and the shower. Uber seems to be the best way to get to the hotel, but you’ll probably need to do a brief walk down the hill to get to the hotel doorway. Sometimes, if you’re lucky the Uber driver will drop you off or pick you up at the doors. You’ll appreciate this more when you see the town.

A unique hotel with individually designed rooms was awesome! The attention to detail from the welcome wine and cake to cookies for the journey home- this was an excellent choice for our time in Coimbra.

For a fun and fanciful stay, one couldn't do any better than the Solar Antigo Luxury Coimba hotel! The decor is over the top - including a giant jacuzzi! - but the staff and location can't be beat. The hotel is well located, in the heart of Coimbra, surrounded by delicious restaurants and lovely sights to see.

This is a marvellous beautiful two level room equipped with all amenities including a jacuzzi.The view is absolutely stunning. The service is excellent. The lady ( sorry I forgot the name) was very helpful and pleasant. She helped with our luggage and parking site. On check in we were served with wine and cakes. Breakfast was served in the room with plenty of foods. We were given some cookies as a goodbye gift. Well done. Other hotels should take note of this gesture and follow suit.

Everyone was super lovely and helpful and the room was very clean and well kept! My only criticism was that we were given a room with a jacuzzi close to the dining area. It was a total wasted space in my opinion and we managed to knock our heads many times as the area seemed a little haphazard. The room was nice although there wasn’t a lot of space to open a luggage bag. Having said all of that the team went out of their way to be incredibly helpful and nice.

The property has an amazing view over town, very unique interior which was clean and well laid out. We loved the jetted tub and that breakfast was included as well as a welcome snack and drink.

This is a quirky property in a good way and a fabulous location close to the university. They are stairs down to the city centre and and an elevator/funicular just a minute from the property if needed. The staff were truly wonderful. At check-in, they made recommendations for walkable restaurants including one only a minute away, which ended up being the best restaurant meal of our 30 day trip. A staff member came to walk us through the amenities including the big Jacuzzi tub and the mini fridge with water, juice, and beer that was replenished daily. They also delivered two glasses of bubbly and some beautiful homemade cake to welcome us. I know all the rooms are quite different and of course, we only saw our own. The entrance to ours was from the outside so we had no stairs to deal with. We loved all the big exposed beams and beautiful brick work on the walls and the ceiling. We are on the taller side and we did whack our heads a couple of times on the lower beams :-). I think that some of the other rooms off the ground level have higher ceilings so you probably contact the property directly if this was a concern. Another lovely touch was the breakfast basket that got delivered every day with an assortment of pastries, cereal, some scrambled eggs, fruit/juice. It was also quirky but it got a little something into us before we started the day. If we were ever back in Coimbra I would rebook at this property immediately.

WOW. This hotel blew our expectations and anticipations out of the water. From the first interaction, they, especially Catarina, were incredibly friendly, helpful and helped us settle right in to Coimbra. Then there's the property itself. The original stone walls and arch ways, the VIEWS and the furnishings are just breathtaking. Out of all the places we stayed in Portugal during our 10 day trip, this was the location we wished we could go back to most. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The rooms were awesome, with arches and low ceilings but really nice. Comfortable beds and breakfast delivered to your room were great. Close to most major attractions and restaraunts.
