Finding the hotel was not easy. Parking was OK on adjoining site. Room very basic and in need of updating. Kettle in room, but no mugs. Reception helpful. Breakfast OK.

We were stranded in Athens by the airline. Flight was canceled and the reps said “you’re on your own. All hotels in Athens are booked. Look on Google for something possibly on the coast”. Found this little gem. The front desk people were so friendly and welcoming. Even though the small hotel was not the up to the standards we are used to in the states, the staff made up for it. They called us a taxi early the next morning, and opened up breakfast an hour earlier than their normal hours. We are very thankful we found these amazing people in such a stressful situation. Thank you!

Nice pool, spacious room with air conditioning but unfortunately the breakfast are monotonous and tasteless with really little choice And I must mention the smell from the sewage system No more thx

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Unfortunately our shower head wasn’t on a hook so we had to hold it while showering. Otherwise the venue was in a great location and close to many dining options.

This was a last minute reservation for us the night before a flight out from Athens. About 30 min from the airport. It was clean and did the job. Walking distance to the local restaurants and night life. Some light construction on some of the floors, but overall not an issue.

Contrary to what the name implies, the hotel is removed from the sea by a one-and-a-half block walk on a dirt road. Also, while Expedia lists it as an airport hotel, it cost us 100 euros to go to and from the hotel. The facility is pleasant enough with a nice pool and an engaging, helpful staff. The room could benefit from a hotpot and water. The water is supplied at an additional cost. They were able to arrange a ride to the airport (that cost 40 euros). The driver showed up late, refused to deal with our luggage, and insisted that we stop for coffee on the way to the airport.

It's close to a beach. We received used toiletries in the bathroom and no soap. The bathroom floor was leaking. Staff were not very accommodating and it appears the hotel was under renovations.

An overnight stay before airport departure early next day. Allowed us to check in early and arranged for transportation to airport early next morning. All in all a very pleasant short stay - wish it was longer. A highly recommended hotel close to the beach and restaurants

This is a classic Greek beach hotel. Nothing fancy, but that’s how we prefer them to be. Great restaurants within a short stroll.

Overall, this was a decent one-night stay. The shower head was not functioning properly and the quality of the hotel was a little dated. It was also about an hour from Athens.

Hotel is so old Wall are paited but everything is old Breakfast is excellent. Pool and area pool are old. Many garbage things around. Price is lower than other hotel. If you are not so picky hotel is good to stay than spend day outside

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights and we couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s a lovely place that is a few minutes walk from the seafront, where there are plenty of options for food and drink, all the Greek food we had along here was divine! The staff in Thomas Beach are the friendliest and kindest people we met. The owner helped us to travel to Athens, which is very easy (ignore Google and talk to the locals!!). The breakfast had everything you could ask for and although we didn’t use the pool, it was clean and looked lovely. We would definitely head back if we were back in mainland Greece

A bit old but clean,good location (3 minute walk to the beach/cafes) and good value for money compared to other hotels on the area. For those who haven't been to Nea Makri,here are my thoughts on the area: - weather and sea / swimming experience is great (not too hot except for 12-2 pm, warm and clean water,no big waves) - cafes and restaurants are nice but a bit expensive and the food choices are limited - Athens in general look a bit run down,Nea Makri is better than average but still not a luxury type of place. In conclusion,if you are after great weather,swimming in the Aegan sea and some quiet time with your family for a reasonable price (except for some restaurants),it can be a good option
