Charming and characterful hotel. Excellent location backing on to railway platform. Opted for a room at the front which was quiet with beautiful fjord/mountain views. Clean, very comfortable beds and helpful staff.

The room was clean, small bathroom with no power outlets in the bathroom. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was as expected, the cooked items were barely warm.

Shower was dated; breakfast had limited choices; fried eggs were left for the guest who can down at 9:00 am on a plate; food was cold; Location and view is amazing; older and historic hotel; mainly wood construction; overall ok

Staff were super accommodating and friendly. We arrived at 5 am and the offered to turn the lights down in the lounge so we could sleep. Let us store our luggage until we could get our room and when we left for a day trip. Food was wonderful as well.

Excellent hotel, very traditional decor inline with its vast history. Great location on the train platform and next to the gondola. Free bus outside to Myrkdalen resort( great place for beginners to cross country and alpine skiing) very clean with amazing food. Helpful and friendly staff make sure you stay is comfortable. Spa facilities were fantastic as well. In the room the only thing was there was no coat hooks to hang outdoor coats. Electric Towel rail in the bathroom didn’t seem to work but this wasn’t an issue as there was under floor heating so things dried.

Gorgeous room, clean and spacious. Incredible views. We were lucky to have a room overlooking the lake, and also at the very end of a long corridor so didn’t experience any noise from other guests walking by. Great staff, helpful and friendly cleaning staff did a wonderful job.

I loved everything about this property. The location was close to the Gondola up to Voss. The food, breakfast and dinner was always amazing. The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were very clean.

The room was spacious with a nice view. The property is old and on the edge between historically classic and dilapidated. Dining room and breakfast in the morning were very good. One odd thing was the need to re-register your car every time you drove into the parking lot.

This hotel is very cute. You feel like you move back in time. Bathrooms are all renovated. It could use a little more refresh, especially the carpet. Overall it's a nice place in a great location, right next to the train. They had live music in the bar every night we were there and it was a really nice to sit there and listen to music and unwind after a long day of sightseeing. I'd love to go back to Norway and I'd stay at this hotel again.

A very comfortable hotel with modern facilities.

For all of its supposed class this establishment is sorely lacking in meeting customer needs. I drove around the whole area looking 1 - for the hotel parking lot and 2 - trying to find the reception center. Turns out you have to walk around the BACK of the hotel, down a sidewalk then down stairs to get to the reception desk. This was EXTREMELY difficult for a mobility impaired individual. The showerhead was filthy. The entire bathroom was 3’ wide and 5’ long. You have to sit sideways on the toilet because there isn’t enough room for your knees if you sit properly. This was the bathroom for a FAMILY SUITE! One person alone could barely fit in this bathroom. The shower gel and shampoo bottles are attached to the wall in such a way that it is almost impossible to push down to top to extract the contents. And there were PAPER NAPKINS at dinner. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful but for all of its attempts at class, this hotel falls far short.

Classic and great location to everything in Voss.

Conveniently located to the town and train station. It was a great place to meet our guides for our trip. Loved the decor. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was nice- a lot of options.

This is a lovely, old fashioned hotel with stunning views of the lake in Voss. We got a huge corner room with beautiful views. There are large terraces in front and a bar and restaurant. Breakfast is included and was amazing. Some wear and tear around which is to be expected given the property is over 100 years old. Adjacent to the train station and a small grocery. Walking distance from downtown restaurants and shops as well as the beautiful lakeside park. Wish we'd stayed longer

Beautiful historic hotel in lovely Voss, excellent breakfast, onsite swimming pool. The bartender was especially helpful & arranged for us to have a light supper on the terrace overlooking the fjord

Lovely historic hotel perfectly located if traveling through town via public transportation. The train platform is accessed from the property and the bus stop is across the street. The hotel has nice water views across the street and can access the tram up the mountain essentially in the backyard. Quaint town to walk through and explore.
