Staff was friendly and always available to provide information regarding the area. Property itself while beautifully set is showing signs of needing an update. We did however thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

Great hotel and our balcony room had amazing view of the sea, cliffs and Tonnara de Scopello. The manager was friendly and eager to help. Room and bathroom were spotless and they provided plenty of towels. Unfortunately restaurant was closed for the season when we were there. They close Oct 1. Breakfast was continental with cheese, cold cuts, toast, fruit, youghurt, cereal and pasties. Close to the Tonnara - 10 mins, if you walk down the hill through the fields. And a 1.8 km walk to the south entrance of the Zingaro Nature Reserve. Parking was in the huge parking lot (7€ per night) a 2 min walk from hotel.

A door handle was missing making it hard to close the door when we left. There is a hole in the ceiling next to the AC register with dripping water through it. AC register is covered in black stains of mildew. Bedside lamps look like they havent been dusted in years. When I told receptionist about these issues, he shrugged and said" it is what it is, we are fully booked, cant do anything about it

This Hotel is honestly one of the best spots in Scopello, the view of the Torre and Tonnara is spectacular and the breakfast was brilliant. We went for the mountain terrace view which was a lovely space to enjoy the sun and cool off in the evenings. The family that runs this Hotel are incredibly kind and helpful.

The view of Tonnara Di Scopello and the coastline is unbeatable from the sea view rooms, definitely the highlight of our stay. The room was quaint and charming, the staff were also very friendly. Breakfast from the outdoor seating was lovely. Parking tip if driving; there is paid parking closer to the property at Parcheggio Grande Scopello, whereas Google maps sends you to Parcheggio la Ginestra which is much farther away and more expensive - do not park there.

Only stayed one night but this area is quite beautiful. I would definitely go back. A little tricky to find since you have to park your car and walk into the square to get to the hotel. Totally worth it.

Great location. Walking distance. Great views. No onsite parking. Must find free parking (walkable) or park in paid area (not too expensive)

We stayed at Torre bennistra last year and out of familiarity we decided to book it again even though we had had some issues last year. Things started off poorly when I had to ask for an extra pillow three times over a period of five hour bebore I went downstairs and got it. The owner operator speaks perfect English but pretends not to answering most questions or requests with a shrug of her shoulders or comments in Italian. My issue which will cause us to stay elsewhere in the future is that the AC was sending the strong smell of smoke into our room to the point that it was better to shut it off rather than smell it all night. Not getting much sleep I went and asked to have a different room and after the shrug of the shoulders and pointing to the sign that said no smoking I was told in English the Hotel Bennistra was full. When I asked that were people not leaving I was told they were but that maybe the smoker would be gone. Too bad for us I guess. combine that with the fact that they charge for breakfast which is mediocre the bad service and awful pillows makes this a place I can not recommend. Scopello is a fantastic little village well worth a visit for a couple of days and there are several other nice places all in the town. After returning home and calling Hotels.com I waited while they called the hotel with my complaint and got not satisfaction, unsurprisingly. Hotels.com took care of us though which we were pleased with immensely.

I had been to Scopello ten years ago. While things have changed, the natural beauty remains and the people are gracious and extremely helpful. The property is elegant and the food is prepared for even the most discerning palate. Am highly recommending this albergo.

This place is a little piece of heaven. This boutique hotel has a very rustic, old school charm which fits in perfectly with the glorious natural beauty surrounding it. The room was clean with high ceilings and the bed was comfortable. If I had something to gripe about, I would say that the shower could be bigger. The restaurant downstairs was a revelation. We had some of the best tuna we have ever had for dinner in a setting that was prettier than pictures can convey. We will be recommending this place to our friends and family on their future visits to Italy.

Great location & charming old facility. The AC could be a little stronger when a very unusual heat wave strikes, but otherwise everything was perfect.
