Had such a wonderful stay at the Annex Hotel and will definitely be back. The decor throughout the hotel is incredibly well thought out, everything feels intentional, stylish, and unique without being overdone. We stayed in the Daniel Room and were pleasantly surprised when the team upgraded us, which was such a thoughtful touch. When we arrived, there was a handwritten note waiting for us along with complimentary wine. I don’t drink, but the gesture was incredibly sweet and made us feel very welcomed. They also accommodated a late checkout, which was greatly appreciated. The location is fantastic. One of Toronto’s best pizza spots, Badiali, is only about a 5-minute walk away, and there are plenty of great cafés, restaurants, and shops nearby. The hotel also offers room service and has its own café and restaurant, making everything very convenient. What stood out most was the service, every interaction was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Combined with the great pricing, it made for an exceptional experience all around. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Toronto :)

My new favourite place in Toronto, and I would even take a slightly longer subway ride to stay there (especially since I scored an amazing rate by booking one month in advance, staying on weekdays). I loved how the automated processes worked so smoothly, and I absolutely adored the room itself. The perfect mix of historic and modern. Simple comfort and luxury. I also liked the neighborhood, with so many options to eat, grab groceries or pharmacy needs. It feels like you're living among the locals rather than tourists. Enjoy the flavours of the Annex, both the hotel and the community!

Had an excellent stay at the Annex hotel for my work trip. The room was clean, with a record player and good vinyl selection, and stocked with everything you need. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Christian, who went above and beyond to make sure it was a great stay. The coffee shop on the main floor also makes a great flat white 👌 highly recommend to anyone looking for accomodations in Toronto!

What an unexpected delight! I was travelling solo and wasn’t sure exactly what to expect as I'd never stayed here before. I had never even been to the neighbourhood before, as I always stay downtown when travelling on business. It’s unassuming on the outside, but cozy and cool vibes inside; staff are absolutely delightful and it had the amenities I required. I also enjoyed the parfait and sourdough bread, along with a capuccino for breakfast via room service--it was just what I needed to start my day. The bed was comfy, the room was spotless and so quiet for sleeping—what more can you ask for? Also, the neighbourhood has many great little places to explore on a walkabout (including some great thrift shops) and so many spots to grab a bite. I would not hesitate to stay here again! BTW, my room was 312, and labeled by the hotel as a "Medium" room. (Note that this 3-storey building does not have an elevator, and I didn't mind as I travel light and am an active woman in her mid-60's with few physical limitations; but if stairs are an issue, this might not be the spot for you.)

The Hotel rooms sit above a very lively cafe/lounge, but the building's soundproofing kept the room quiet. The room decor was very modern. The bed was comfortable. The climate controls worked well. Service-wise, it's very "do it yourself" by default, but the staff are very courteous and helpful if you ask them for anything. Location-wise, it's a five-minute walk from the Bloor/Spadina transit station. So it's very convenient to the shops and restaurants of Bloor Street.
