We held our wedding (across three days) at Burton Court in September this year and it was everything we hoped for and more. Burton Court is a wonderfully unique and flexible wedding venue, steeped in incredible history and character. Everything about Burton Court is amazing - the grounds, the house, the Great Hall, the bar, the bedrooms, the views! Truly breathtaking. It is hard to put into words just how grateful we are to Ed and Helen (owners) for making our big day feel so special and individual. They went above and beyond with all the personal touches, like stocking the bar with our favourite beer and so many fancy rums! During the planning, Ed and Helen were so welcoming and enthusiastic about all of our ideas - supporting us with ideas and helpful contacts. Being able to choose our own local vendors and design our wedding exactly as we dreamed of was really important to us. So many of our guests commented on how friendly Ed and Helen and the staff were. The atmosphere felt for warm and homely. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We can't wait to come back for a visit ❤️

Very friendly and kind hosts, enjoyed all our time at Burton Court. Excellent, high quality breakfast. It was very kind of Edward showing us around the house and talking about its history. We also got good advice on visiting Gigrin farm to watch red kite feeding, ended up going there and it was a brilliant advice!

well what can I say. We got married at Burton Court in October of this year. We stayed as guests there 2 years prior and loved the hosts Ed and Helen, so when we got married it seemed like the only place we could think of. The venue is so beautiful and well cared for. Ed and Helen went above and beyond throughout the run up to and on the wedding day. Ed offered advice from particular people for food, flowers and entertainment. He showed great knowledge of local businesses and was happy to help throughout. The rooms and breakfasts were amazing and nothing was too much trouble.. The venue and their hospitality made our wedding the special day it was. Thank you so much for everything you did.

During our searches for the perfect wedding venue we were lucky enough to stumble across Burton Court. From our first visit to see if it matched our vision we instantly warmed to Edward, the owner and the house itself was simply stunning. We knew this was the perfect find for our special day. Edward was relaxed, gave us ideas and flexibility in our planning and was pleasure to work with in the planning and run up to the wedding. For what was an incredible and individual venue the costs were sensible and having the venue solely for us for the weekend meant we could set up at our own pace. We could bring in our choice of caterer, be very selective about the drinks and wines, every element we could bespoke with Edward’s blessing. The house and grounds have incredible authentic character, carefully maintained to keep the historic heritage alive. Beautiful, grand bedrooms, a stunning great hall perfect for our wedding breakfast and celebrations plus a brilliant little almost pub/bar. On arrival before the big day Edward, Helen and the girls couldn’t have made us feel more at home in their home. They were just brilliant. Relaxed, fun and we didn’t feel even a moment of stress. For me and my bride tribe the night before the wedding we enjoyed a relaxed chat in the bar with family with a couple of drinks and a wonderful historic account of Burton Court and a tour of some of the hidden areas of the house. What a fabulous family. The day was simply wonderful, guests gasped at the beauty of Burton Court, our pictures with this splendid backdrop are amazing and our day was one we wish we could have gone on forever. Every aspect was perfect. Edward and Helen, thank you for welcoming us into our home with our guests and choreographing the most magical day ever. Burton Court will always hold a special place in our hearts.

A beautiful property steeped in history matching features, facilities very tastefully to protect and preserve the integrity of times gone by. The Simpson family were the perfect hosts, pleasant and hospitable whilst remaining discreet. The bedroom was well appointed with a duvet that made you feel you were engulfed in a swidgey marshmallow. Peaceful set in beautiful grounds. The breakfast was well cooked, well presented and used local produce
