A good welcome, clean room, adequate breakfast

breakfast consisted of cereals and full English breakfast where you help yourself buffet style, well cooked and hot. our room which was on the 3rd floor close to the lift was spotless, the bathroom was small but adequate for us with a shower (no bath). staff were polite and very helpful, hotel was central to shops, bars, restaurants and promenade. never used the hotel bar so cant comment, railway station was a ten minute walk for us ( we're in our mid 70s). would definitely use this hotel again.

Was clean room .but decor needs up dating.small room and very tiny tv.wall paper was coming of the wall.holes in wall .bed very small more for a child .not suitable for disabled person as only steps up to property.needs a ramp .

Stayed one night, had a twin room on floor 3. Room was clean, beds comfy, pillows comfy. Room decor is old and could do with an update but bathroom was modern with good shower.and hot water.towles and linen also nice.virw from our room was ok and wasn't you noisy or anything.Parked round corner in town Hall car park for a fiver, but you can park outside hotel for 90min for free, handy to drop bags etc. there's a bar in the hotel and we got a free drink as a perk of booking with hotel.com. again most hotel has dated decor but it's all clean. There's a modern lift available to get to the 3 floors. Breakfast was included, was buffet style, so can help yourself to as much as you wanter, fresh and delicious full English/Welsh brekkie with some yoghurt,.fruit,.tea ,. coffee and juice. Location is great, can be at seafront or main Street in less than 2mims Walk.

We were very disappointed in the property. The double room was very small, only just enough room in the bed for two even though my husbands feet were out at the bottom of the bed and the shower was only big enough for a child. We had paid in advance for 3 days but left after only one night. When we checked out I was looking for some rebate.I asked the manager if Expedia had paid them for our room with breakfast he said yes they had recieved our money so I was looking for some refund as we couldnt stay there any longer it was so bad especially as there was on!y 90 mins parking that is if you could find any. The manager said we shou!d look to Expedis for any refund even though they has recieved the payment. We left very dissappointed. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Good location, difficulty parking, and breakfast was definitely a 5/10.

What a lovely welcome from reception on arrival to this traditional seaside hotel! Clean, comfortable room with good beds, hot shower and fluffy towels, plenty of coffee and tea in the room. Good choice of hot and cold items at buffet breakfast. Small bar, with a singer in the evening who was pretty good. Right near pier and shops. We loved it!

Clean and in the centre of town

The service, cleanliness and comfort was good, only breakfast was provided, and although it was not the mist extensive selection of food, it was perfectly adequate and of good quality. The building itself is dated but despite this, it was clean and comfortable.

Would recommend the hotel the Breakfast is very good friendly staff the shower are a bit small decor a bit dated but would go back

We paid extra for a side sea view but we never got any hot water in the shower and it had a big gap under the door so the light was shining in the bedroom so had to put a pillow over it so I could get some sleep

Great location

The room had recently been refurbished to a high standard, including the bathroom. Breakfast was really good, plenty of choice. Comfortable beds.

The staff were good but the price for the room seemms high as it needs updating

We have stayed here about 5 times, the rooms are basic but have all you need and are spotless.. Could do with redecorating throughout. You couldn't get a better location, turn right out of hotel and you are on the high street turn left and there is the beach. Free Wi-Fi, the bar opens 5pm to 11pm if you want a drink. All the staff are brilliant, nothing too much trouble. Cheap and cheerful, if you're looking for 5 star dont book

When we arrived there was no wait at the check in all went very smoothly. We got the lift up to the 2nd floor and our room was only a couple of doors down. The room was plenty big enough, with a sea view when you looked up the street. the room was adequatly furnished with a comfortable double bed, wardrobe and vanity table. The bathroom was nicely laid out but the shower was a bit of a squeeze. Overall the room was clean, tidy and with a window that opens properly. The breakfast was self service, so you could have what wanted from fruit, cereals, toast or a cooked breakfast. Coffee, tea and juices were available too. A great and pleasent stay was had in a very nice and clean hotel.

The location of the property was excellent.
