The hosts were lovely people but we just felt a bit disappointed as the reason we booked here was due to the games room and facilities for our 9 year old to enjoy after checking in which we couldn’t use due to a large booking so ended up having to sit in the pub down the road for hours . Would have been useful to of been told this before hand . We stayed in room 14 although large and nothing wrong with room it had a horrible damp / stale smell and wasnt pleasant, we checked out early the next morning due to this . I thought there would be a balloon in the room or something for my husband’s birthday ( pre arranged and I would of paid for it ) which was explained they wasn’t sure which room it was for and they would pop something in later but it didn’t happen . All things combined was just disappointed with the amount I paid unfortunately .

Staff was friendly, rooms were large and stocked with everything we could possibly need for a 1 night stay. Our host gave us a quick tour, and took time to provide information and answer questions. Truly enjoyed the comfort that was provided, the easy food options just down the road.

Cannot fault this property at all, the hosts are so welcoming and love that you get a tour around the facilities. We booked the spa for my partners birthday and it is a little slice of heaven! Then we played a few games of pool in the bar/lounge area before heading to our room. The area is great, permit parking super easy outside the property, and great recommendation for breakfast the following day (Farm Kitchen). All the best to the hosts for the future success of their business as this is a local gem! xx

A lovely, clean and friendly place to stay. Rooms are fabulous, ours was quite spacious especially the bathroom. The bed huge! Location is great, very quiet at night despite being near restaurants and bars.

Great hotel, comfortable big bed and lovely lounge space. Very clean and well decorated. Great to have the use of a kitchenette too. The facilities were great with a communal area with table tennis and pool. Great location in Southsea. Very welcoming host with a personal greeting and tour. Would definitely recommend.

Steve was really friendly and helped us find a nice place for dinner and breakfast. Kindly sorted a parking space on the property as I think it was a quiet night. But there’s also a huge car park on the other side of the building. More to do at the property than we realised. The communal area is brilliant. Don’t waste your money in the arcades as there’s loads to do at the hotel: pool, air hockey, table tennis, old school games table (pac man etc), sound system to choose your own music. Also use of a fairly big kitchen so you could quite easily make dinner or breakfast at the property. The rooms were really nice. Old Victorian seaside property but renovated and modernised tastefully with some lovely furnishings, cushions, chandelier etc. So pleased we chose this over the holiday inn. We would 100% stay again and wish we’d checked in earlier to have more time to check out the spa area.

Amazing find for a night away. Right in the middle of Southsea surrounded by bars and restaurants. The hosts were amazing and the accommodation was spotless. We’ll definitely be back with our daughter to enjoy all of the facilities on offer. Thanks for having us!

I've stayed here a few times when I'm working in Portsmouth. The owners are very friendly and helpful and will give you a quick guided tour of the hotel and all it's amenities, which include the full use of the games room (table tennis, pool, air hockey, pac man, i-pad juke box, board games and large kitchen area). Parking is in a council car park right next to the hotel. A reduced rate is available from the hotel if you ask. The rooms are spot on and very comfortable, i think they all have a small kitchen area with a fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave and sink. It's literally 1 min walk into the high street with some great looking classy restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation in staying here with my family if we were in the area. P.s no height restrictions on the car park

What a great hotel. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and really helpful sorting parking and making up a pullout bed. The major benefit of this hotel is the great communal area that has a pool table air hockey table tennis, and a kitchen and bar area where you can bring your own food and drinks Which was great for our 2 teenagers. The rooms were lovely, really clean and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again
