The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. They gave great recommendations for the local area and ensured we had a lovely and smooth check in and check out process. The room was absolutely lovely and very clean. The bed was beyond comfortable would definitely stay again.

5 minutes walk from Manchester Picadilly station. Perfect location for the city centre. Very handsome hotel. Dark & moody. Staff were especially warm and welcoming. Shout out to the breakfast waitstaff who could not have been more pleasant. Criticisms? Was surprised that the bar closed - even for guests - at 11pm for last orders. Received several invitations prior to my arrival asking if I’d like to upgrade (at a cost ) which I thought was rather tacky. I’ve stayed in some of the finest hotels in the world and - in my opinion - upgrades should be given by the hotel in order to persuade the guest to return for future visits. Other than these 2 minor points, I would recommend the Dakota to anyone who would like a stylish & comfortable hotel in the heart of Manchester.

Overall good stay, however noisy from other guests until after midnight. Breakfast limited choice from buffet and items not replaced (hence charged £48 for 2 breakfast but only got 1 coffee, 1 mini muffin and limited fruit)

This is our second visit to Dakota Manchester, as we were staying for a concert, staying overnight, then leaving the next day. We book the valet service as I'm disabled and we need parking for our car and have good access to it when needed. For the price, its comparible than leaving a car in a car park overnight, but also it so safe and looked after, including Cold refreshments when we leave. The reception team is always great, always want to do as much as they can, it was a bit of a wait as it was checking in time at 3pm and it was Valentine's Da. We booked the early check in but we were stuck in traffic and closed roads meant it was useless but we still had to pay for it. The room itself is good, clean, well stocked in what you need, even the classic double room is enough for a couple of days in Manchester. The only issue we have is how soft the bed and pillows are, they caused us issues sleeping and hurt my back, which as a disabled person, is not ideal, even my husband was struggling with the bed too. Its also quite noisy, if its not the aircon, its the minifridge, or the pipes, or other guests in their rooms... Including the couple that we're fighting - screaming and throwing things at eachother for at 1am, so we didn't get any sleep with both those issues. Its a great place, but we don't feel it suits us anymore. Other guests also looked at me with disgust as I'm a younger alternative person with walking issues, so rich, older guests were staring or laughing :(
