We had five nights at Griya Santrian in late October 2024 - and we really enjoyed it. We had a deluxe room near the Tropical (Middle) Pool, but we also looked at standard rooms and they were fine too.
Breakfast in the beachside terrace room was very good, with excellent staff and service. The main beachfront pool was an excellent social focus, and we met lots of people from around the world. There were a lot of Western Europeans staying there.
The location is excellent - almost exactly in the 'middle' of Sanur, half way along the 7 km boardwalk. We could stroll from the resort to literally dozen of warungs and restaurants every evening for dinner. Supermarkets were close too, as was the new Icon Bali Mall.
The beach in front of the hotel was nice, although the Sanur Beach as a whole isn't great for swimming - we swam mostly in the three hotel pools.
WiFi was good, although it could be slow in the late afternoon. TV reception was below par, with a fuzzy weak signal, and it needs upgrading to modern standards.
Overall we loved staying at the Griya Santrian and would readily stay there again. Recommended for seniors, couples, and families with kids - although there is no kids pool or kids club.
