Excellent hotel. Very clean, spacious rooms, cute decor and great breakfast. Service was the BEST we’ve had in Austria. Excellent stay and will be back again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Bristol Hotel in Salzburg! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a warm smile. The room was impeccably clean, neatly arranged, and a very comfortable size, which contributed greatly to our relaxing and enjoyable experience. The dinner and breakfast were both outstanding and delicious, a real treat! However, the true highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the hotel's prime location. Situated right in the heart of Salzburg, it's within easy walking distance to all the major attractions, charming cafés and unique shops. It was the perfect base for exploring the city on foot, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip.

This is a 5 star recently renovated hotel ( and quite expensive). The room was very nice with multiple places to store clothing, a comfortable bed and an easy to operate shower. The room was air conditioned, which was very helpful since it was warmer in Salzburg than what we had expected. The surrounding area was very close to the old city but quiet. Our issues with the hotel were twofold. We were given a voucher for welcome drinks at the bar. After we finished our drinks and presented the voucher, we were informed there was a “separate menu” for vouchers and our drinks did not qualify. I complained to the front desk and would have expected the charge for the drinks (these were ordinary cocktails- gin and tonic and Campari and soda) to be removed from the bill but they were not. And although the breakfast buffet was very extensive, the service was mediocre. This morning my husband’s silverware was removed while he was getting something additional to eat. Ultimately he had to take silverware from another table. And I ordered 2 fried eggs but they never appeared. Given that this is a 5 star hotel, we expected better and more gracious service. I would not return.

Breakfast was wonderful. Bartender made excellent cocktails. Super location especially for the gardens.

Room was small, but quite lovely and had all of the amenities. Don't skip the breakfast -- one of our favorite meals in Austria was the breakfast at this hotel.

Good location, although hotel is dated but then it is an old building. Shower wasn’t too great and flooded bathroom! Parking is not on site. Valet is available at a price but we parked outside hotel and they said if you get a ticket it’s cheaper than valet parking!?! We thankfully didn’t get a ticket! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would we stay again, probably not but that’s just our personal choice.

We thought it unfair that as guests of the hotel that we had to pay a “cover charge “per person at dinner. We were the only people in the restaurant on a weeknight. And the fact that it was in fine print was shady. Other than that, staff was great, beautifully decorated, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The staff, from the moment you enter the property, are incredibly kind and helpful. The room was lovely and proved quite comfortable for our three-night stay. Breakfast was a sumptuous spread every morning, accompanied by attentive staff. We ate dinner one

We have travelled to many resorts all over the world, I can say this was one of the best and high-end spa resort that we have been to. The quality of the service, the staff, the ambience, the small details that they have spent attention to is above and beyond. The Spa is one of a kind, if you’re looking for a unique spa resort for relaxation or retreat or romantic place to go to, this is the one! They have many different types of steam rooms amethyst, salt, herbal and also different hot saunas to try which I’ve never seen in other resorts. Beautiful, relaxation rooms, etc. I highly recommend it and will definitely visit it again.

The Bristol was an absolute gem! We felt as if we were in luxurious old world Salzberg yet with today’s amenities. E
