I loved it! I had a sea view and as expected the sunset was amazing from any angle of the hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast served here. The front desk staff were very professional & helpful. The location it's conveniently (15-minutes away from Funchal) if you decide not to rent a car since public transportation is reliable in the area, literally there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel.... Well recommended.

The whole exclusive was above and beyond my expectations. The staff was extrodinary, friendly and attentive. The whole environment was exceptional in every way. The setting was beautiful the room clean and the pools clear and inviting.

I’d like to thank the staff for making accommodations easier for my husband when he had an emergency surgery done on Madeira.

The room was well appointed and clean. While it was difficult becoming accustomed to the European electrical system within the rooms, we were able to educate ourselves within a short period of time. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very accommodating and the meals were very good. The parking was a bit difficult as the garage was tight but we managed. Overall, would recommend the hotel to others.

Enjoyed my stay, friendly staff, room very clean they would come every day, Good food lots to choose from. Cocktail amazing at reasonable prices. Good location. Parking available at the hotel at a charge, but also possible to park around the hotel. Would recommend

Great restaurants near by. Great breakfast everyday. Dinner at the restaurant was overpriced and mediocre but breakfast was good.

Golden residence is a very good hotel with good size rooms and facilities. Breakfast is very good. We had very good time.

Check -In was long. Didn't get the ocean view I booked because I had a dog. Hotel is a mix of apartment tenants and visitors between 3 different buildings. I had to stay in Building A and park in Building B. Had a maze to get from building A to B. Elevator did not go garage. Very tiring.

Staff were friendly and always helpful. Pillows could be improved and toaster added to the kitchen area. Food was delicious.
