We didn’t even end up spending one night here. It was unsafe, the lock on the door was broken, the pool was dirty, and we couldn’t even get a refund on it.

We really enjoyed the hotel, nice and cozy pool, friendly staff, acceptable rooms and everything is on a walkable distance.

This was my first time staying in Cartagena so I was worried but the staff at the hotel and the restaurant next to it were very kind! They gave us great recommendations and advice for our stay. The hotel is not the most modern, some showers had low pressure, and the rooms had a damp smell to it but if you’re only staying for a few days you should be fine

O hotel fica numa area repleta de restaurantes, cafeterias, cassino, sorveteria, farmácias, lojinhas. O hotel tem uma piscina pequena, mas muito bem cuidada e com area verde ao redor. A decoração das areas comuns é um plus. Os funcionários são muitos atenciosos, simpáticos e receptivos. Tem muito Uber disponível ao redor e o máximo que esperei por um carro foram 2 minutos. O restaurante que fica acoplado ao hotel, junto a recepção, tem excelentes drinks e sempre com música (tinha até dj uma noite). Têm água quente no banheiro e o chuveiro era excelente. O café da manhã é simples, mas tudo feito com carinho e a comida estava muito boa. O quarto estava com cheiro forte de mofo por estar fechado, mas ao abrir a janela, rapidinho passou. Limparam o quarto diariamente durante a estadia. Foi uma excelente experiência. Recomendo.

nice hotel in a great area, great value

The staff was bad. The pictures which are in the website are fake!. It's not how they show it. The hotel is rusty, fifty and the sheets aren't wash they smell like sweat.

Poor managed, when presented the in convenience no manager was available neither follow up on it The room door did not lock and two days in a raw had to wait more than 15” waiting to be fixed and the third decided to leave since we had a commitment and we where late Upon arrival ask questions about the area, things to do and staff was careless, said no idea and look on internet. Then two days on repairs, noise and dirt everywhere and not even an apology or excuse on it The pool area is dirty and poor maintain. And looks more like a bath than a pool The tv did not had signal, so useless We ended up moving to another property this was not worth Stay away from this place if you plan to enjoy your time. When trying to express the feedback and frustration nobody cares and they said the owner she is the only one to speak and never appeared or made herself available

Can't understand all the positive reviews. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures--everything is dilapidated, the pool has no water (no explanation given), and the staff is poorly trained and unhelpful. The only redeeming quality is the location.

This hotel has so much potential! However, needs adjustments on very simple things that count as essential: Bedroom: Guys only one sheet is not enough for sleeping at night, try using a cotton cover on top of the sheets. Even if you have the air condition low at night usually body temperature goes down when you sleep. Make sure to double check the room before you give it to the next guest. Ours, didn't have clean sheets Service: Most of the staff was so friendly and helpful. However, on the day that we came to have breakfast the lady serving us looked very stress because she was the only person serving. When we asked in a respectful manner to have coffee with milk she responded in a very rude way that "we only asked for regular coffee." And again I am sure it wasn't anything personal but more like overwhelmed with serving 10 guest at the same time. Restaurant: This is for most of the restaurants in all Colombia. Guys, please have menus in English. This is going to save so much time and confusions for future visitors.

This place has lots of potential but the conditions are very poor. I enjoyed my stay there but the bathrooms and furnitures are not in a good condition. Just some extra attention to details can definitely help.

Old hotel the don’t clean the hotel at all. The rooms are really small and noisy. I was a horrible staying

Good breakfast, clean rooms, good customer service. Rooms could be improved with better lighting.

The hotel was smaller than it looked like but the the staff was welcoming. One of our room was not ready at 3.30 when we arrived so a bit disappointing. Near the beach and restaurant and shopping mall and easy taxi ride to the old city.

The overall experience was good. The staff was really nice and attentive. The free breakfast was really tasty. And it’s one block away from the beach.

This is a fairly small hotel. The pool, the patio and the little area with a bar in front of the hotel was under construction/maintenance during half of our stay, and so essentially the entire hotel except for the rooms was unavailable for use. When requesting some type of reimbursement from the hotel through Expedia they arrogantly denied any claim. I have Expedia gold+ status and so Expedia gave me a $25 credit towards future bookings, thanks Expedia. The hotels handling of the case was less than respectful though. Keep in mind this is the first negative review that I leave on any hotel.

Nice hotel, very beachy vintage decoration, super kind staff and excellently located.

The Barahona 446 is a very nice place with excellent service. The desk monitors spoke English and Spanish and were exceedingly helpful in calling a tourist company to inquire about whether they were coming to get us, opening our safe when we locked ourselves out, and lending us a kitchen knife to cut some fruits we bought. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the pool, and we enjoyed the beach a block away. The area is more modern and tourist-oriented as opposed to the walled city, but it has nice beaches and several good restaurants.

Location is very lively, and a short cab ride to the old town. You can walk directly to the beach.
