Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was larger and more modern than most we had on our European trip. View from the balcony and breakfast patio was incredible. This amazing property was the highlight of our vacation. Enjoying the breakfast buffet with a very large selection of foods surrounded by majestic mountains and being cared for by friendly staff was a wonderful retreat. Public transportation is great and hotel has shuttle service available.

Best place in the Alps

The view was great!

My family and I stayed in the Junior Suite, expecting the quality and hospitality of a four-star, family-owned hotel. Instead, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had. The Junior Suite was dirty, neglected, poorly maintained, and dated—well below the standard we expect from a four-star property. I documented the condition with photos immediately upon arrival. We reported the issues and asked to be moved, but were told there were no other Junior Suites available. Housekeeping was unavailable, so I ended up cleaning parts of the room myself just to make it acceptable for my family to stay the night. With no feasible solution offered, we checked out the following morning and moved to another four-star hotel in Grindelwald. The difference in cleanliness, room quality, and service was immediate and significant. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Hotel Kirchbühl to anyone looking for a true four-star hotel experience.

Love the location and the view. Very clean. Service is excellent at the restaurant. Food is great for dinner. Really easy to get to many attractions. Would stay again.

Room is very clean with a deck facing beautiful surroundings. Bathroom is on the small side. Parking is easy and spacious. Staff are great and breakfast is excellent.

The hotel was absolutely amazing! The views on top of the town of Grindelwald from the hotel were spectacular - mountain views galore! Breakfast café had windows overlooking the mountains also, and the food was varied and delicious. Our room was upgraded -larger, with a frig and view. The only downside was the hotel was above town, so the walk down was steep, and the way back seems impossibly steep!

Absolutely breathtaking! This area and hotel was our favorite in the Jungfrau region. Restaurants on property serve delicious meals, friendly staff and the views..oh the views of the mountains while enjoying my coffee and tasty breakfast buffet are memories that will always bring a smile to my face!! usually don’t write reviews, but this hotel truly stole my heart. As a big fan of high-end hotels, I’ve experienced many, but this one stands out in a special way. The views from the balcony are straight out of a fairytale. What makes it even more special is its perfect location—just slightly off the main road, offering peace and quiet, yet only a short, scenic walk to the bustling shopping and tourist street. The service was outstanding, with genuine attention to detail in every interaction. You can tell the hotel was created with love—it’s visible in every corner, from the thoughtful decor to the spotless cleanliness. And the restaurants? Absolutely excellent. Every meal was a delight.

This hotel made our trip wonderful with its hostess. Rooms are super clean, service was awesome and especially breakfast we loved so much. We definetely choose this hotel again when we go to Switzerland 😍

Nice hotel but the rooms could use some serious help; the showers are insanely small, hard for even an average-sized guy like me to get around in. Long downhill/uphill walk into town, so while the location provides beautiful views, it is isolated.

Excellent stay, we all loved it. Very good quality food, recommend reserving the Swiss restaurant. My only advice would be there needs to be fans as it can—and did—get very uncomfortably hot at night in summer. At the least, install screens so guests can keep doors/windows open without letting bugs in. But regardless, an excellent stay and will be back for sure.

A stunning view of the Eiger from our balcony. A beautiful, spacious room with a large bathroom which included a bath and a bath pack. A delicious breakfast buffet is included. It is a little bit out of Grindelwald, which we liked as it was so peaceful. They will pick you up and drop you off at the station on arrival snd departure. You can walk to the hotel (15 mins from the station) but it is quite steep. Alternatively, you can take a bus which is free to all visitors staying at Grindelwald. The staff were lovely and made sure we didn’t leave anything behind. Thanks Miguel, for the ride back to the station.
