A great property with brilliant character. Central to bustling centre but room balcony doors keep the noise out. Great breakfast, lovely staff. Our stay fell during a heatwave, the amazing aircon provided a cool haven.

Brilliant room in great hotel in super location.

Our favourite hotel of our Europe trip. Located on the Main canal of Ghent we were so close to everything we wanted to see but also just off to the side so it was nice and quiet at night. We loved the unique design and tall ceilings of the building. The room was modern and clean but still had historic charm. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly. We didn’t have a view but we faced the courtyard which was nice and quiet. We would absolutely stay here again.

This Hotel has everything you could want in a visit to Ghent. The staff was exceptional and very welcoming.

The hotel was conveniently located and walkable to all of the tourist areas of Ghent. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were disappointed with the breakfast buffet and it seemed that items were not replenished so if you arrived at breakfast later some items were very picked over. We only had one breakfast as we felt it not worth the price. The room was large and obviously an accessible room. We did not like the bathroom which had huge double sliding glass doors and the shower was open to the whole bathroom. Water sprayed all over the floor so every towel was used after wards to soak up the water so we didn’t slip. The curtains did not wrap around the windows so as soon as the sun came up the room was bright. We like a dark room for sleeping. It’s a nice hotel with very helpful staff but the design concept was not for us.

Property was clean and newly remodeled. A bit stark. I been been at more authentic lodgings in Belgium.

Our room was changed due to the original room being unsafe for our child. It was downgraded so we were advised we would get a refund. However I had to contact the hotel a week later for this refund. We also had a broken shower so I was unable to wash before we left - the staffs option of waiting until 9am the following day once they had cleaned another room to use their shower was inadequate as we had to leave before then. Plus I wanted to wash the evening before. We also had a toddler with us so it was very inconvenient and we received no apology or compensation since even though I raised the issue multiple times. In the hotel they advised the manager would be In touch which he hasn’t.

I needed a place to stay for 4 nights near the venue for the conference I attended. The Harmony was was great choice. The room was very comfortable. I appreciate that the hotel is eco-friendly. I enjoyed the espresso machine in my room, and the frig. The location was on the water and close to everything. I made a great choice of hotel.

Absolutely delightful stay. The staff were wonderful - very friendly, helpful and efficient. Everything about the service, location and the hotel itself was to a high standard. We would definitely stay there again.

Great stay! Location is wonderful. On the water and very close to main attractions. Big room for families. Staffs was friendly and accommodating. WiFi was fast. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful service in the dining room. Breakfast choices were exceptional. Staff anticipated my needs before I even asked for the tea or coffee.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in Luxury Room with a View. My room was #130, hers #140. The hotel location is fantastic! The reception staff was so very kind on every occasion when we had questions to ask them.They also sold us the Ghent Card which gave us entrances to various tourist attractions and public transportation in Ghent. The breakfast was a wonderful buffet with all kinds of foods--pancakes, eggs, bacon, pastries, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, fruit--worth every penny! There was a coffee maker in the room with coffee and tea. Bottled water was provided daily. Room 130 had a balcony with an amazing view of the river and historic buildings--I absolutely LOVED it! Room 140 (directly above 130) was somewhat under the eaves of the roof---it had a slanted ceiling with 2 large windows which also opened onto the river and skyline, but there was no balcony. The bathroom in Room 130 was a nice size but the bathroom in room 140 was bigger with the toilet separate from the shower and sink areas. The toilets did have a bidet option on them as well. The shower water was fantastic---warm and strong water flow. The soaps and lotions all smelled lovely! I really enjoyed this hotel and would most definitely stay here again if I return to Ghent. To note: while we were at the Hotel Harmony, we met THREE separate groups of travelers who were on Rick Steves' Tours, so this is clearly one of Rick's hotels in Belgium!
