I had a great stay at Akeah Verdi. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Theybare always willing to help and gove decent advice. I only did not have the best interaction with the bar tender but the reception staff and even the chef at the restaurant are all friendly. The rooms are very clean and tidy, room service were not providing all needed stuff when cleaning the room but they would do after calling room service. Overall very recommended. It is across the street from a Metro station that easily goes everywhere in Budapest.

We liked the proximity to the medical school and the easy access to city center via subway. One issue we encountered was the refrigerator. On a 32C hot day, the refrigerator was warm, the capacity minuscule, the hot air coming out the vent would keep the refrigerator warm. As we addressed the issue, the personal at the front desk was very receptive and offered a different room. Same issue, but the refrigerator had ice build-up a d warm air environment. Upon asking for a manger, she came after some time and gave us a choise from a few more rooms. All refrigerators are antiquated, subpar, no air ventilation in the encapsulated area. Being under time constraints, we abandoned the change with something the same or worse, and discussed with the front desk manager. Imre was very helpful understanding the aggravation we had, offered some perks that were helpful. We requested some discount for the charge we incurred, hopefully he can manage with Expedia to obtain that. Front desk personnel is nice, courteous and eager to help. We kept the water in their refrigerator. Overall, the hotel needs more investment as even after renovation it looks cheap for a four star hotel and for the charge they practice, be it booking. com or Expedia.

Many students that are noisy and disrespectful. Running in the corridores and knocking on the doors. It is a circus more than an hotel. I called the front desk and they told me that they will tell them to stay quite. I repeated to them that they were knocking on my room door. They should have been kicked out. I was about to call the police.

Arrived at the hotel to see a queue at reception with people having trouble checking in. Another customer came down to complain he had been waiting 30 minutes for someone to come and help him but no one came. After 40 minutes of waiting we finally got seen and were given our card, we got to the room and noticed we'd been given a room for two people instead of 3, so went back down stairs, we got the key card replaced ( other customer was back down again complaining) and to our shock we were given the key to someone elses room! All their belongings were still in there so this is a massive security risk and made us lose trust in the hotel as they could quite easily give someone else our key card. went back down to reception to complain but they wasn't bothered at all and laughed it off. So check in took over an hour with multiple problems, and they still hadn't been upstairs to help the other customer who was waiting over an hour. The bed was like a rock, you get one pillow even after asking for an extra pillow they say yes but never give you one. Duvet to small for the bed. Toilet seat was half broken and the air con controller never worked properly, said 25 degrees the whole time even though we were selecting 18 degrees. Breakfast avoid! All the hot food is gone by 8 and they don't bring out more, juice is like water. Once it's gone they don't bother making anymore, goes for all food. Hot chocolate isn't drinkable. No English tea. The worst hotel breakfast I've ever had.

The hotel is fine with good amenities and quiet. Great location with super easy access from Metro line 3 right across the street. Rooms were spacious and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Checkin was quick and easy. Breakfast was pretty good but some days coffee machines did not all work. No coffee in the room, only tea. Some mornings hot food selection was limited or already gone even though we were there by 8:30. Thank you for a nice stay

Advertised as 4* hotel, hardly fits in 2* rating. Room was dirty, hair on the floor and shower. Stale bakery products for breakfast. Great view on homeless people doing drugs from the balcony.

Bed was not comfortable at all (very hard). Pillows were super small and very old. Bedding and comfort of the sleep is one of the important things to me and if I can rate it separately I would give 1 star. Everything else is good.

Lovely stay. Room was a bit small to fit a crib but we managed. Breakfast had lots of options but was incredibly full of people so often there was nowhere to sit.

Unfortunately we had to wait an hour to check-in since the hotel systems are not accurate and fast. Waiting in a line with many others. The staff was apologising and felt really awkward.
