Great hotel I think one of the best I ever stayed in Montreal. I go back and forth for about 30 years and I wish would discover this earlier. I used to stay most of the time at different place. Restaurant and breakfast was good. Room was clean. Amenities were nice.

One of the best Crouque madame I ever had, hands down.

We spent our anniversary weekend at Hotel Birks and even dined at their restaurant. We could not have been more pleased! The staff was welcoming, kind, and attentive. They even surprised us with champagne and dessert for us to celebrate! Can’t wait to return back here!!

It was nicely decorated and comfortable beds. However, the floors are very squeaky like an old house which surprised us with new reno. The bathroom sliders don't fully close off the area so you can hear everything in bedroom - forget romance! Staff were so so but not overly service oriented. Both treadmills were broken in gym and waited for fix and still didn't work after fix. Service in restaurant was very slow. All in all disappointed for the price and would not recommend.

Beautiful building with an old-world feel, but updated. The staff was gracious and helpful. The room was large and clean. The bathroom was large and clean. Fantastic rain shower. Comfortable bed. We only heard neighbors in the hallway, not through the walls. The hotel is a 20-ish minute walk to Old Montreal and just a couple of blocks to the Underground, and 15-ish minutes walk to Bell Centre. Very close to the Metro stations. One bus ride from YUL, then a few blocks walk - very easy. The restaurant Henri is delicious. There are also several less expensive food options in walking distance. A wonderful hotel. We will definitely stay again.

The stay was spoiled by unpleasant treatment at breakfast on 20th March. The man at the front desk of the restaurant was arrogant and offhand. We had to wait ages for a coffee refill. The receptionist at checkout on 20th was very pleasant and the valet who got our car when we left was also very pleasant.
