Maybe because it's still under renovation, so it still seems a bit rundown, but hopefully it can get better.

Old hotel that is not well maintained, dirty sheets, mattresses full of mites, dusty floors and less than satisfactory service.

I've been a regular staycation at the Oval Hotel. The friendliness of the front desk staff and the convenient access to the hotel were not matched by the cleanliness of the rooms. The area under the bed looked like it had never been cleaned.

The room is spacious, fragrant, and clean. Cons: The AC is noisy, and the floor tiles have many holes.
