Here, I always ask customers to provide feedback directly to the owner because the rules are so strict. We stayed for four nights in two rooms, a total of five people. Oddly, I had to take an extra bed for 200,000 rupiah per night in addition to the hotel room we'd already paid for. I happened to have some savings, but what if someone didn't have any? We were looking for cheap accommodation on a budget, but when we arrived, we had to pay for an extra bed, so the total for the room and extra bed was almost 3 million rupiah for four nights. We'd have been better off finding a nicer, more reliable accommodation. There were no rules.
A second problem arose:
We had to provide photocopies of everyone's ID cards. Why not just ask for our family cards?
Third, we had to be careful with the bedsheets. If there were any stains, we'd have to pay compensation. I didn't accept that. I recorded a video from the moment we entered the room, and all the sheets had stains. If I didn't record the video, I'd have to pay compensation for the stains.
Fourth, the guest's stay was until 11:00 PM. Staying after 11 PM requires payment.
Fifth, the hotel is not responsible for lost items in the room.
The management or owner needs to be flexible and humane. It's a shame for people staying there if they don't have enough money to add an extra bed for one person.
This is especially true for those staying alone or with two people; it's fine, as it's just a matter of procedure.
My advice to families with more than two people is to avoid staying here. The management and owner don't want to hear our reasons.
Fortunately, the hotel staff, including security, housekeeping, and reception, are all kind and friendly. Please, the management or owner of Harlys, don't be so cruel to customers or employees just because they're rich. It's a shame for those who work sincerely for Harlys.
Thank you.
