The worst stay ever. I truly regret choosing Hotel Zam Zam Batu. For Rp 2.9 million for a family room, my expectations were of a decent, clean, and professional hotel. In reality, what I got wasn't even on the level of a budget homestay. The room was very basic, far from comfortable. The towels were damaged, worn, and looked dirty, clearly unsuitable for guests. There was no internet connection at all, something that should be a basic amenity at this price point. The food service was extremely disappointing and upsetting. I ordered à la carte food and had to wait almost an hour without any explanation. When the food finally arrived, it was inedible: it tasted strange, unpleasant, and didn't seem to have been cooked to the proper standards. I complained, but there was no follow-up, no apology, no solution. It was as if guests were completely disrespected. The problem continued with room service. I requested a hair dryer, a very basic thing, and I requested it more than five times from the receptionist and directly to housekeeping. The answer was always "yes later," but it never arrived until I checked out. This demonstrates extremely poor management and coordination. Worst of all, the swimming pool was filthy and completely unusable. This is a family hotel, and the pool should be a key feature. The children were clearly disappointed, and this was highly unprofessional.
