Staying at a three-star hotel was indeed a bit cheaper, at Rp376,000 including tax. However, the room smelled of cigarettes, the sheets smelled of cigarettes, the towels smelled of cigarettes, there were no hangers (let alone a closet), there was no mirror (we had to buy a small one), and the air conditioning, although quite cold, was incredibly noisy. It was still better to stay at a guesthouse for Rp150,000.

maybe the cleanliness can be improved... like in the bathroom. and the broken taps should be replaced because they make it uncomfortable...

The bathroom and AC facilities are just for show, the bed sheets smell really musty. So sleeping feels uncomfortable.

Ordered a non-smoking room but was given a smoking room instead. The staff just said if you want it, go ahead, if you don't want it, just find another one.
