I was very disappointed with the checkout process at this hotel. Upon check-in, the receptionist only informed us that check-out was 12:00 noon without explaining in detail the consequences of late check-out or the procedures for extending our stay. On check-out day, there was no confirmation from the hotel, either before or after 12:00, asking whether we wanted to extend our stay or check out immediately. After we finished performing the Dhuhr prayer and went to the reception to check out, we were charged an additional one night's stay for all three rooms we had booked. This experience was very different from other hotels I have stayed in, where staff usually contact guests close to check-out as a reminder and still allow a reasonable amount of time, especially for prayer purposes. I hope the hotel can improve its communication procedures with guests so that it doesn't seem like they are trapping them with late check-out fees that aren't clearly communicated from the start.
