Dear Top Management of Fame Hotel Sunset Road Bali, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding an incident that occurred during my stay on March 1, 2026, involving one of your receptionists, Ardi. On that evening, I personally requested two replacement towels and the standard allocation of two bottles of mineral water. Earlier, I had informed housekeeping not to clean my room, therefore I approached the front desk directly for assistance. Ardi informed me that housekeeping had already closed for the night and that I would only be able to receive the requested items the next morning at 8:00 AM. This explanation was unreasonable, as providing basic amenities such as towels and bottled water should not depend solely on housekeeping operating hours. I then politely asked if he could retrieve the towels from the laundry room. Ardi responded that he did not know the location of the laundry room. This response was highly questionable and unconvincing. It later became clear that the laundry room is located across from the staff locker area, a location that hotel employees should certainly be aware of. His response gave the impression that he was unwilling to assist and was simply making excuses to avoid helping. Furthermore, when I stated that I would submit a complaint through platforms such as Google Review, TripAdvisor, and app, Ardi responded in an extremely unprofessional manner by saying, “Oh, it’s okay, I will be the one replying to the complaint.” Such a statement is inappropriate and does not reflect the professionalism expected from a hotel staff member. He also claimed that he holds a leader position in the Front Office division. In my opinion, the position of Front Office Leader carries significant responsibility, and based on this experience, his conduct does not reflect the standards required for such a role. Additionally, as I was staying with my 4 years old child, I made sure to clean the floor using wet tissues for hygiene purposes.
