I had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel’s location is excellent , conveniently situated with easy access to various destinations around Singapore. The room was clean and tidy, exactly as advertised, which I appreciated.
However, I found the service underwhelming. When I asked for nearby recommendations, I was simply directed to read the pamphlet. I also noticed that while other guests were personally shown how to use the shoebox system and escorted to their rooms, I only received verbal instructions despite checking in right before them. It wasn’t a big issue, but the inconsistency was noticeable.
More importantly, when I asked the staff about getting to the station for a 3 a.m. departure, I was not informed that the subway does not operate during those hours. Though it might be common sense for them, I was completely exhausted (returned at 11pm due to an event) and trusted the staff info. This lack of essential information could have seriously affected my travel plans had I not double-checked myself.
All in all, the stay was decent but the staff could have been more proactive
