Easy check-in, have a smoking room, thanks... Food is quite varied

I stayed in room 815. I couldn't sleep comfortably in this room at all. The sound of traffic was incredibly loud, and there was no soundproofing whatsoever. What a shame!

The hotel is nice and comfortable, the room is clean and the staff is friendly.

My family and I booked two rooms (601 & 603) and checked in on July 7th and checked out on July 10th, 2025. We actually chose this hotel because we saw it on TikTok. The location is quite strategic, near Simpang Lima, the staff are quite friendly, and the room is also quite clean. The only downsides are: 1. On the first day, the AC in the room dripped water (you could say it was leaking), so much that it soaked our bags. We complained to the lobby staff (by phone), and they told us to wait for a technician to come to the room. We waited for 30 minutes and they still hadn't arrived (even though the AC was still leaking). We called again, and the lobby staff answered... "Oh, the technician hasn't arrived yet, sir?" 2. The rooms are not soundproof. People walking in the hallway can be heard, and even the door makes a loud noise when it closes. We, who stayed on the 6th floor, clearly heard the sound of passing vehicles on the street (our room, incidentally, had glass windows facing the street). This makes for a very uncomfortable stay. We would like to request improvements to the rooms by adding soundproofing materials/partitions to ensure a comfortable stay. However, I admit that this hotel is quite satisfactory in terms of location, friendly staff, cleanliness, and accessibility. We apologize for our criticism, but this is for the benefit and satisfaction of our guests. Note: This hotel was formerly known as HAKA, owned by a state-owned company (HK company) and has been renovated/refurbished.

it will be great if the sound pollution issued getting solved since it;s quite pity with good points be in vain just because of noise pollution.

I stayed here for a day after a vacation in Yogyakarta because the travel time to Jakarta would be late at night. I was hoping for a peaceful rest, but the room was very poorly soundproofed (street noise was very audible, especially the sound of motorbikes). Honestly, my rest was very disturbed. For breakfast, many of the food was empty, but they weren't refilled immediately. I asked about the empty porridge, but it took a long time to refill it. When it was refilled, I thought it was ready to eat. However, the porridge turned out to be very cold (as if it had just been refrigerated). I checked out by 11 so I could eat outside. I hope the hotel can improve (at least make the room soundproof from the outside, as it was very disturbing). I understand that if there's work and the desk has a notice that there's work, the noise will be disturbing, but in my experience, I was disturbed by the noise from the street. I was in room 717.

The hotel appears to be new, with a modern, minimalist design. It's close to Simpang Lima. Right behind it are Hanamasa and Alfamart, making it easy to shop.

The hotel facilities are adequate, only the reception staff in my opinion are too stiff and unfriendly.

Asked for a non-smoking room, but got a smoking room, the table was full of cigarette burns

Very good, for a budget hotel, delicious food, easy access to the city, and car-free days on weekends across from the hotel. Powerful shower, fragrant room, clean area. I'll return to Up Peak if I'm in Semarang again.

The service at the reception was good, the receptionist was even willing to help provide elevator access to the upper floors when I as a guest wanted to go up to a certain floor via elevator. The hotel environment is clean and comfortable.
