A pretty bad experience
First, I was taken to a room, the door was patched and glued, the bed was dirty (my wife said this but I said it was probably because they washed it but the stains didn't come out), the air conditioner was on for 40 minutes but it wasn't cool. I asked to change rooms, the staff told me to move to a smaller room without windows. I was okay, no problem
In the new room, the air conditioner was cooler but still weak. It was turned on at 18 degrees but felt like 28 degrees. Turning on the fan was quite okay so I accepted it without any further comments. The new room had cockroaches. As soon as I entered, I immediately hit 2 of them, the smell of the room spray was as strong as a karaoke bar, my wife complained but I told her to open the door and turn on the fan to let the smell out a bit.
The story didn't stop there, the door was closed but couldn't be locked, this was too much of a loss of privacy for the customer, and because of the electric lock, only those with a card could open it from the outside. I also accepted.
The climax was when I went out and took the room card, when I got back to the hotel, I couldn't open the door, I went down to tell the receptionist and was told that it was locked because the guest didn't return the card before going out, what's going on. Don't use the excuse that you're afraid the guest will lose it or drop it, or that someone will pick it up and take all the guest's belongings in the room, because you put all the cards in the same basket and when someone comes to get them, they have to search in that basket to get the right room, not the staff will keep it for them and then properly hand it back to the guest. I said if I lost it, I would be willing to pay for it, why should I keep my room card, not to mention that I had asked to keep my ID card before. But I refused to give it to them. I was only allowed to take a photo. And they also asked that if they didn't want to keep it, they had to pay the full room fee before staying, were they afraid that I would run away and not pay?
Then there is the mineral water issue, I have never met a hotel that uses the excuse that because they booked on Traveloka, they will cut all the amenities and optimize the costs to the point that they will not have a single bottle of water for guests, but if they book directly, it is okay, hearing this makes me shiver, even the hair dryer has to be borrowed, it is not available
It is really too bad, I do not even dare to use personal items in the toilet for fear
