Budget hotel close to everything limited hot water

Grateful we were able to snag a couple rooms last minute as our flight out of CR was delayed. No hot water or shower heads. Beds were in rough shape. If I was 21 and traveling, I would have been stoked! But as an adult with teens, we made the best of it!

This is an older property in need of some minor repairs. Everything was in working order and AC worked very well which was nice since it was hot. Friendly and helpful staff onsite. I would go again for a short trip.

Estaba participando en un rally que termina a en Jaco, yo me hospedé en este hotel y al siguiente día llegaba otro participante del rally a desayunar y nos íbamos juntos al lugar de salida del día 2. El señor que estaba ese día nos dijo que la otra persona no podía entrar, que por política del hotel, lo cual arruinó la excelente experiencia que había tenido el día anterior con el parqueo, personal en ese momento, etc.

I stayed at this place in March 2024. My unit had a meeting area, a Bdrm with two double beds, closet, a private bath, and a small private backyard, plus AC & paid abt $30/night which was great. However, this unit needed some minor repairs. For ex., shower missed shower-head, or the front door had to be pulled in hard to lock. But I still recommend it.

Hotel was very accomadting of our Teo dogs. The room had only one towel and fan in living area not working. With a little sprucing up of the rooms this hotel could really be a little gem In a gray location

I enjoyed the pool!

Terrible hotel. How does Hotel.com charged $187 per night, while this hotel only asks for $60 per night? No towel in the room, no blanket, very dirty beds, the room smells. It scared my daughter and she refused to stay in that hotel. There are many better options around this hotel.

Its was ok

The staff is very friendly and always smiling! The location is great, less than a 5 minute walk and your feet will be in the warm ocean. Its located directly in the middle of the main strip of jaco. The grocery store is less than 2 minutes walking. The building is very secure, as is the parking lot. You will feel very safe here. The kitchen is equipped well, a good size refrigerator (not a mini fridge like most hotels), a 2 burner stove, microwave, and eating space. The front foyer room is comfortable for having a guest over. 2 small couches that can work as a bed for kids. The pool is very clean and has nice landscaping around it. I have stayed here 3 times and look forward to my fourth! I have stayed in 3 other hotels in jaco, and this on is the best....BY FAR!

The apartment had good A/C which we needed and a very nice smallish pool. We managed to prepare most of our meals with only a fry pan and large pot. Everyone was friendly.

Great place, great price, and extremely friendly staff. Jackie is great!!! Nice pool, secure grounds and parking. Steps to the beach and nightlife!

I liked the fact the room had 2 beds a kitchen and a sofa I didn’t like it was a little outdated

Before I left Alaska finding in Jaco, an affordable low key apartment/hotel with kitchen and swimming pool such as the Apartotel Gaviotas secure with a friendly trustworthy staff and is only about a 5 minute safe walk to the beach to enjoy the nightly sunset, was a feat in itself. Therefore, for you out there, the homework is already done. I give Apartotel Gaviotas a 5 star rating, not because it’s a 5 star hotel, it’s because “it met my expectations and beyond”. In the 7 days I spent there, Apartotel Gaviotas far exceeded my expectations by the private intimate atmosphere created by staff members that made me feel relaxed and comfortable. On Valentine’s Day, flowers and treats from the English speaking manager, personally herself at my door, I was impressed!! Coming from Alaska in the middle of the winter, the most exciting pleasure that I enjoyed was the closeness of the swimming pool right outside my door for my daily swim in the beautiful morning warm sunshine. A shower person I am the hot water spray was strong and plentiful. Bed was comfortable and I slept well each evening because it is a quiet place. I spent 3 days in Jaco and was very pleased with almost everything about this hotel. The room was a great value for the price with the inclusion of a kitchen and living room in addition to the bedroom. If I had one complaint it would be that housekeeping never visited the room while I was there. I would most certainly stay here again if I was visiting Jaco and wanted a place to stay that it close to the nightlife that Jaco offers, but not filled with drunken tourists.
