This is our home away from home. Mizusawa is my wife’s childhood hometown and we return every year — and stay at the Plaza Inn, which is no doubt the best hotel in the area. The rooms are very comfortable, the service is impeccable, the restaurants excellent (especially the Japanese restaurant, Kikusui) and the garden is beautiful. It’s a walking distance from lots of shops and restaurants.

The staffs were super nice and welcoming! They had shower amenities in the lobby that you can bring up to your room to use, the staff even recommended me which product is good ahaha The hotel had lots of Shohei Ohtani memorabilia so it's a good place for fans of his! The single room was spacious and they even gave yokan for each guest :) There were a lot of shopping and food places surrounding the hotel. Only downside was that the hotel location was a bit far from the train station so we had to take a taxi :(

Clean room, convenient location, nice and friendly staff. We definitely stay again in this place once we visit Mizusawa.

Nice Hotel

November 2025 I stayed in a business single room for one night on a weekday. The building and facilities are quite old. Don't expect too much from the room. I guess it was worth the price. The breakfast buffet was neither good nor bad. The female staff at the breakfast area were cheerful and pleasant. The front desk service was also average.
